Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has just unveiled an eagerly anticipated addition to its upscale full-service hotel brand, DoubleTree by Hilton, in the culturally vibrant city of Varanasi. Known for its historical structures, ancient temples, and UNESCO recognition as a Creative City, Varanasi now welcomes the DoubleTree by Hilton Varanasi, strategically situated in the heart of the city.

This grand opening is the result of a franchising agreement between Hilton India and JHV Construction Co Pvt Ltd, a highly regarded business conglomerate deeply rooted in the fabric of Varanasi. DoubleTree by Hilton, with its reputation for warm hospitality and unwavering guest comfort, is rapidly gaining prominence within the Hilton portfolio. This momentous launch underscores Hilton's commitment to expanding its presence beyond major metropolitan areas, offering travellers exceptional experiences in non-metro destinations.

Navjit Ahluwalia, Senior Vice President and Country Head, India, Hilton, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "We are thrilled to announce the opening of our first DoubleTree by Hilton in the spiritual city of Varanasi. The city’s rich cultural and historical significance, coupled with the strategic infrastructure boost it has received from the government, has made it an attractive tourist destination. DoubleTree by Hilton has been welcoming guests for more than 50 years and is well known for its modern accommodations and the signature warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie. We are ready to offer Varanasi’s guests exceptional hospitality and contribute to the growing potential of this remarkable city."

Hira Lal Jaiswal, Developer at JHV Construction Co Pvt Ltd, also shared his excitement: "It gives us immense pleasure to join forces with a renowned hospitality brand and leverage Hilton’s strong global reputation and network in India. Varanasi has experienced remarkable growth in tourism in recent years, and we have observed the government's efforts to create a tourism circuit connecting prominent Buddhist cities, with Varanasi serving as the gateway. As natives of this city, our family is delighted to meet the growing tourism demand by bringing Hilton’s best-in-class services and personalised guest experiences to Varanasi. We are confident that DoubleTree by Hilton Varanasi will unquestionably become the preferred stay option for guests."

DoubleTree by Hilton Varanasi, located a mere 25 minutes away from both the city centre and the airport, offers modern comfort and convenience in this spiritual hub. The hotel boasts 144 rooms and 20,000 sq. ft of event space, providing a comprehensive array of amenities. Guests can take a dip in the inviting outdoor pool, utilise EV charging points, or attend events in the city’s largest ballroom. The hotel also offers a fully equipped fitness centre and a rejuvenating spa. Accommodation options range from standard rooms to spacious suites, including a grand presidential suite. Dining options are abundant, with an all-day diner and a bar lounge at the lobby level, catering to both business and leisure travellers.

Nestled in the central part of India along the holy river Ganges, Varanasi holds a special place in the country's history. It has given birth to religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism, playing a pivotal role in their evolution. Now, with the arrival of DoubleTree by Hilton Varanasi, the city adds another gem to its spiritual crown, inviting travellers from around the world to experience its mystical allure.
