Located in the vibrant heart of Dresden, Germany, Holiday Inn Express Dresden Zentrum transforms into a fully rebranded 306-guest room hotel. The property, IHG’s first conversion for the Holiday Inn Express brand in Germany, reflects the brand's latest design concepts, focusing on delivering essentials that matter most to guests on the move.
Holiday Inn Express Dresden Zentrum stands out as a pet-friendly hotel that caters to the needs of modern travellers. Each stay includes the signature Express Start breakfast, ensuring guests begin their day on the right note. The guest rooms boast power showers, flat-screen televisions, dedicated workspaces, a pillow menu, and complimentary Wi-Fi, aligning with the brand's ethos of simplicity and smartness.
The hotel enjoys a prime location within walking distance of Dresden's historic Altstadt (Old Town). This area is a cultural hub, home to significant landmarks like the city hall, state parliament, Old Masters Picture Gallery, and the Semper Opera House. Additionally, Dresden is renowned for hosting Germany's oldest Christmas market, making it a magnet for shopping, food, and drink enthusiasts.
Mario Maxeiner, Managing Director for Northern Europe at IHG Hotels & Resorts, expressed enthusiasm about the new addition. He highlighted the success of the Holiday Inn Brand Family in Germany, with over 80 open hotels. Maxeiner emphasised that Holiday Inn Express Dresden Zentrum enhances the globally-respected brand's portfolio, offering simple and smart travel solutions for both business and leisure travellers.
Holiday Inn Express, launched in 1991, has grown into IHG's largest global brand, with 3,131 open hotels in more than 50 countries. The opening of this property with LRO Hospitality, and as the 57th with Atlas Hotels, marks a significant milestone for IHG, expanding its presence in Germany and Continental Europe.

GRT Hotels & Resorts took a significant step toward inclusivity this World Braille Day, launching an initiative aimed at enhancing accessibility for individuals with visual impairments. With the initiative rolled out across most of the group's 22 properties, the hospitality brand reaffirms its commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all guests.
The cornerstone of this initiative was the introduction of Braille menus at all of GRT Hotels & Resorts' all-day dining restaurants, including those at Grand by GRT Hotels, Regency by GRT Hotels, Radisson GRT Hotels, and GReaT Trails by GRT Hotels. This move ensures a more accessible and personalized dining experience for guests with visual disabilities.
To commemorate the occasion, GRT Hotels & Resorts hosted special events at two of its flagship properties—Grand Chennai by GRT and Radisson Blu Hotel & Suites GRT Chennai. During these events, visually impaired guests were invited to enjoy a curated lunch and experience the newly launched Braille menus firsthand. Additionally, other properties collaborated with local NGOs to host similar events, bringing together the community and raising awareness about accessibility in hospitality.
