In a landmark move to fortify its status as a leading global tourism destination, Dubai has introduced a five-year multiple-entry visa for Indian tourists. This innovative visa program is set to revolutionize travel for Indian visitors, offering them the flexibility to explore Dubai over multiple trips with a single visa.

The introduction of the multiple-entry visa aligns with Dubai’s strategic vision to enhance its connectivity and economic ties with India, its top source market for tourism. In 2023, Dubai welcomed an impressive 2.46 million overnight visitors from India, reflecting a significant 34% year-on-year increase. This growth not only underscores the enduring appeal of Dubai as a prime travel destination but also highlights the successful outreach efforts, including participation in India’s premier trade exhibition, SATTE 2024.

Eligible tourists can now obtain their visas within two to five working days, allowing them to stay in Dubai for up to 90 days on each visit, with the option to extend for an additional 90 days. This flexibility is ideal for both leisure and business travelers, offering them up to 180 days of stay within a year.

Bader Ali Habib, Regional Head of Proximity Markets at the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, expressed gratitude for the strong relationship between India and Dubai. He emphasized that the five-year multiple-entry visa is a strategic step towards enhancing the tourist experience and fostering economic collaboration between the two nations.

In addition to visa changes, Dubai continues to attract Indian tourists with initiatives like the inaugural UAE leisure roadshow by Rayna Tours. The roadshow will visit Chennai, Kochi, and Bangalore in early 2024, showcasing Dubai's tourism offerings.

Dubai's tourism sector is on an upward trajectory, with 2023 marking a record 17.15 million international overnight visitors, a 19.4% increase from the previous year. These figures solidify Dubai's position as a leader in global hospitality and tourism excellence.

As Dubai and India continue to build on their cultural, diplomatic, and trade relations, Dubai remains committed to providing a safe, innovative, and exceptional travel experience for Indian tourists, further strengthening the bonds between the two regions.
