Six IHCL Hotels in Chennai have received prestigious honours at the 8th International Hospitality Day Awards organized by the International Hospitality Council (IHC) London and the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM). These hotels, including Taj Coromandel, Taj Connemara, Taj Club House, Taj Fisherman's Cove Resort & Spa, Taj Wellington Mews, and Vivanta Chennai-IT Expressway, have been recognized for their exceptional contributions to the hospitality industry, making them iconic landmarks in the city.
In addition to the hotel honours, individual leadership awards were presented to Ian Dubier, General Manager of Taj Connemara; Ranjit Shankar, General Manager of Taj Club House; and Sumit Singh Deol, Hotel Manager of Taj Coromandel. Their exceptional dedication and passion have set new standards in the field of hospitality, paving the way for their respective hotels' success.
Two renowned restaurants, Southern Spice at Taj Coromandel and Beyond Indus at Taj Club House, were also recognized in the Restaurants Category. Southern Spice, known for its delectable South Indian cuisine, has become a destination for food enthusiasts worldwide. Beyond Indus, on the other hand, offers an exquisite culinary experience with dishes inspired by the Indus River provinces of Punjab, Rawalpindi, and Sindh.
Furthermore, the International Hospitality Day Awards acknowledged the outstanding contributions of six associates from the Chennai hotels. Jasmin Siddiqui, Guest Relations Manager at Taj Coromandel; Pavitra JS, Deputy Engineer at Taj Wellington Mews; Yusuf Kadar Khan, Duty Manager at Taj Club House; Saravana Kumar G, Restaurant Manager at Vivanta Chennai, IT Expressway; Kannan S, Guest Service Coordinator at Taj Fisherman's Cove Resort & Spa; and A Stephen, Catering Assistant at Taj Connemara, were recognized as shining stars in the hospitality industry.
