The event, held at the Shibnote adventure rafting facility, was inaugurated by Doda Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police Abdul Qayoom.
Shibnote, located in Premnagar along the banks of the Chenab river, offers a perfect setting for adventure enthusiasts. Its fast-flowing waters and stunning natural landscape make it an ideal spot for river rafting. The clear waters and picturesque surroundings have already started attracting tourists from across the country.
Deputy Commissioner Singh expressed optimism about the future of adventure tourism in the district. He emphasized the administration's commitment to promoting tourism and revealed plans for a mega winter carnival in Bhaderwah. This event is a part of the district's ongoing efforts to enhance its tourism appeal.
The river rafting event at Shibnote serves as a precursor to the upcoming winter festival in Bhaderwah. Singh highlighted that such events are crucial in showcasing Doda's rich offerings in adventure sports. He invited adventure seekers, tourists, and locals to explore the region's outdoor activities, promising continued support for similar initiatives.
The much-anticipated winter carnival in Bhaderwah is set to offer a mix of cultural and adventure experiences, amplifying the district's appeal as a vibrant destination.
