As Raksha Bandhan approaches, Karigari, the fine dining restaurant chain led by Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi, is taking a significant step to honor the bond between brothers and sisters. This year, Karigari is launching a campaign titled "Empowering Sisterhood, Flow with Care," aimed at raising awareness about menstrual hygiene and ensuring that every woman feels supported and cared for, just as a brother would protect his sister.
In a move that highlights Karigari's commitment to social responsibility, the restaurant has installed free disposable sanitary napkin dispensers in all its outlets. This initiative goes beyond serving delicious food; it also addresses the essential needs of women, ensuring they are cared for, particularly during their menstrual cycles.
Yogesh Sharma, Founder & CEO of Karigari, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, "We believe that sanitary pads are a necessity, not a luxury. Through this initiative, we are addressing a critical health issue and reaffirming our commitment to the well-being of our customers, especially women." Manish Sharma, COO of Karigari, added, "This Raksha Bandhan, we want every woman who walks through our doors to know that she is valued, protected, and cared for."
Karigari’s campaign also seeks to spark conversations around menstrual hygiene, breaking taboos, and encouraging women to prioritize their health. By offering free sanitary napkins, Karigari is setting an example for other brands to follow, highlighting that menstrual hygiene is a fundamental aspect of women’s health. Shreyansh Jain, Director of Marketing & Communications at Karigari, reinforced this message, saying, "At Karigari, we’re committed to making a difference."
The campaign is supported by a vibrant social media movement using the hashtags #MenstrualHygieneMatters and #EmpoweringSisters. Karigari encourages everyone to join the conversation, share their stories, and spread the word about the importance of menstrual hygiene. The initiative will be amplified through engaging content, influencer collaborations, and partnerships with NGOs and healthcare professionals.
Karigari is also organizing workshops, donation drives, and events aimed at educating and empowering women, with Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi actively supporting the cause. This Raksha Bandhan, Karigari invites everyone to celebrate the spirit of protection, care, and sisterhood. Visit Karigari to not only enjoy an exceptional dining experience but also be part of a movement that is set to make a positive impact.
