Nagaland, the picturesque northeastern state of India, is set to witness a significant transformation in its tourism sector. In a groundbreaking partnership, the Hotel Polo Towers Group has joined hands with the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland, to usher in the first-ever 5-star properties in the state. This historic agreement paves the way for two luxurious establishments—one in Dimapur and the other in Kohima.

The projects boast a total of over 200 opulent rooms and are anticipated to attract an estimated investment of 150 crore rupees, both directly and indirectly. Following a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, these establishments will operate on a Design, Build, Maintain, Operate, Manage, and Transfer (DBMOMT) basis.

The Dimapur property aims to become a complete lifestyle destination with top-notch accommodations, diverse dining venues, entertainment hubs, and retail outlets. In contrast, the Kohima project is designed to offer an unparalleled luxury experience catering to both business and leisure travellers. This initiative is poised to revolutionise Nagaland's tourism landscape and boost its economic prospects.

The expected timeline for completing these projects is within the next three to four years, promising a swift and exciting transformation. Speaking on this groundbreaking collaboration, Deval Tibrewalla, CEO and Director of Hotel Polo Towers Group, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "These initiatives will not only boost the hospitality sector but also contribute to job creation and local economic growth, aligning with our vision of having a hotel in every major city of the Northeast."

Keduosie-ϋ M. Rio, Director of the Tourism Department, Government of Nagaland, echoed the sentiment, emphasising the agreement's significance in advancing Nagaland's tourism sector. He expressed excitement about collaborating with the experienced Hotel Polo Towers Group and their deep hospitality expertise in the region.

As the largest hospitality group in the Northeast, Hotel Polo Towers Group has earned a reputation for creating and nurturing destinations, setting high standards in hospitality, delivering exceptional service, and enriching guest experiences. With nine operational hotels and five more in development, they are committed to providing unforgettable stays in the region.

The Tourism Department and Hotel Polo Towers Group extend their gratitude to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Minister of Tourism & Higher Education Temjen Imna Along for their invaluable initiative in setting up these 5-star establishments. This endeavour promises to elevate Nagaland's status as a premier tourist destination and enhance the state's tourism potential.
