In a heartfelt celebration of Independence Day, Somersault, in collaboration with Ek Packet Umeed, organized a special event called “Smiles of Freedom.” This event brought together over 20 children from the NGOs VIDYA India and VIHAAN, transforming Somersault’s indoor playground and café into a joyful haven of fun and unity.

The celebration was honored by the presence of chief guests Nusrat Jahan and Priyadarshini Ghosh Bawa. The day began with a flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a warm welcome where the guests were presented with uttariyas as a gesture of respect. Nusrat and Priyadarshini joined the children in the play zone, adding to the excitement and making the event even more memorable for the young attendees.

Nishit Jain, co-founder of Somersault, expressed his joy, saying, “At Somersault, we celebrate freedom by spreading joy and creating memorable experiences for all children. This Independence Day, it was an honor to host children from various communities, sharing the spirit of unity and happiness through play and creativity.”

Somersault, known as Kolkata’s premier indoor playground, provided the perfect setting for the event. The vibrant and interactive spaces allowed the children to engage in activities like the ‘Super Runio’ game and other fun play areas. Trained ‘Fun Officers’ were present to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
