Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), one of the largest hospitality companies in India, has announced a significant expansion of its portfolio with the opening of Ginger Mumbai, Airport. This new flagship property, featuring 371 keys, is strategically situated near the domestic airport, making it an ideal location for both business and leisure travelers.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, remarked on this milestone, “The opening of Ginger Mumbai Airport marks a key step in the brand's transformation journey, with over two-thirds of its operating hotels now embracing the new lean luxe identity.” This move signifies IHCL's commitment to revolutionizing the mid-scale hotel category, with plans to introduce similar large-format hotels in Bengaluru and Goa airports.
The Ginger Mumbai, Airport hotel is designed with a focus on convenience and comfort, offering thoughtfully curated rooms that cater to the diverse needs of its guests. The hotel features Qmin, a signature all-day diner, a lively Sports Bar, and a state-of-the-art fitness center, ensuring a vibrant and seamless hospitality experience. For business and social gatherings, the hotel boasts an expansive 3,000 sq. ft. banquet hall, two meeting rooms, and a lounge.
The hotel's prime location allows easy access to Mumbai's key business hubs like Bandra Kurla Complex, major exhibition and convention centers, and popular tourist attractions in Juhu and Bandra.
With the addition of Ginger Mumbai, Airport, IHCL strengthens its presence in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, bringing its total count to 13 hotels, including two under development. This expansion not only augments IHCL's footprint in the region but also reinforces its position as a leader in the Indian hospitality industry.
