Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), the beacon of hospitality in India, proudly introduces its latest gem in the City of Joy – Taj Taal Kutir, Kolkata. Nestled near the Kolkata International Airport, this colonial-inspired haven seamlessly merges tradition with contemporary charm in the smart city of New Town.
Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, the visionary Managing Director & CEO of IHCL, shared his enthusiasm about Taj Taal Kutir's unveiling, marking Taj's enduring presence in Kolkata. “With this addition, IHCL is addressing the growing demand of emerging micro-markets in the city. Serving as the gateway to East India, Kolkata holds immense commercial and tourism potential and we remain committed to growing our presence in the region. We are delighted to once again partner with Mr. Harshavardhan Neotia and the Ambuja Neotia Group.” he remarked.
Situated by the 100-acre lake in Eco Park, Taj Taal Kutir boasts 75 luxurious rooms and suites. The colonial touch is evident in high ceilings, vintage-style furniture, and charming sit-outs. The Verandah, an all-day diner, the jazz-inspired Rhyddim bar, and The Lakeview Lounge offer diverse culinary and leisure experiences.
The award-winning J Wellness Circle spa, rooted in India’s healing traditions, awaits guests seeking holistic rejuvenation. The expansive banqueting facilities sprawl across 50,000 sq. ft., with six venues accommodating events ranging from 3,000 sq. ft. to over 12,000 sq. ft. Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman of Ambuja Neotia Group, expressed delight in Taj Taal Kutir joining the ‘Kutir’ boutique offerings, marking the third IHCL hotel in Kolkata.
Kolkata, the ‘city of joy,’ with its blend of heritage, history, and culture, welcomes Taj Taal Kutir as a symbol of luxury and elegance. With this addition, IHCL proudly boasts six hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands in Kolkata, including an upcoming development.
As the sun sets over the Eco Park lake, Taj Taal Kutir stands not just as a hotel but as an experience—an ode to colonial charm, contemporary luxury, and the vibrant spirit of Kolkata.
