The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Mumbai recently participated in OTM 2024, held from February 8 to 10 at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, to highlight the country's vibrant destinations and hidden tourist gems. Accompanied by 20 key sellers, TAT representatives engaged with over 500 members of the travel trade community, discussing new itineraries, insights into the Indian market, and changing traveler preferences. Notably, Indian tourists' growing interest in experiential, eco-conscious, and culturally immersive experiences aligns well with Thailand's tourism offerings.

Mr. Isada Saovaros, Director of TAT Mumbai, emphasized Thailand's appeal as a prime destination, welcoming over 16,28,542 Indian tourists in 2023. This year, Thailand aims to enhance its tourism strategy with high-value, sustainable initiatives, promoting unexplored destinations and premium experiences. The visa-exempt entry for Indian tourists until May 10, 2024, announced in November last year, is part of Thailand's Strategic Direction 2024, geared towards boosting tourist activity and anticipating a significant influx of foreign visitors, with an estimated 35 million expected this year.
