The Hosteller Secures ₹48 Crore in Series A Funding to Revolutionize Backpacker Travel

The Hosteller, India's leading backpacker hostel brand, has successfully raised ₹48 crore in Series A funding to fuel its ambitious expansion plans. The funding round saw equity investments of ₹32 crore led by V3 Ventures, with additional participation from investors such as Synergy Capital Partners, Unit e Consulting LLP, and others. Additionally, Black Soil contributed ₹16 crore through venture debt.

Driving Growth in the Backpacker Segment

The fresh capital will help The Hosteller expand its footprint across India, increasing its inventory from the current 2,500 beds to 10,000 beds by March 2026. The brand plans to strengthen its presence in popular destinations like Rishikesh, Manali, and Bangalore while venturing into unexplored travel hotspots to cater to the growing demand for affordable, immersive travel experiences.

Pranav Dangi, Founder and CEO of The Hosteller, shared:
"This strategic investment will enable us to deliver standardized offerings across India, supported by a tech-first approach. Backpacker hostels have emerged as the preferred choice for Gen Z and millennials, and this funding will help us expand into new territories and attract more customers."

Backing from Prominent Investors

The funding round drew notable investors, including Harsh Shah from Naman Group Family Office and Vedang Patel, founder of The Souled Store. Speaking on the investment, Arjun Vaidya, Co-Founder of V3 Ventures, remarked:
"Gen Z’s travel habits have shifted towards frequent, budget-friendly getaways. The Hosteller meets this demand with its standardized and tech-driven approach. We are thrilled about the brand's potential to redefine the backpacker travel space in India."

The Hosteller has been at the forefront of catering to young, budget-conscious travelers with unique offerings and immersive experiences. With the fresh infusion of capital, the brand is poised to solidify its position as a market leader, targeting Asia-wide recognition in the backpacker hostel segment.

This investment marks a significant step forward in transforming travel for Gen Z and millennial adventurers, making quality and affordability the cornerstone of modern backpacking.
