Recently launched in Khar, Mumbai, Affogato is a 600 square feet gelateria led by Suren Joshi and Shalini Rattan. The name of the outlet is inspired by the Affogato al caffè drink. Suren Joshi, known for I Think Fitness and popular eateries in Mumbai, joined forces with Shalini Rattan, the woman behind Crèmeyum Creamery, an artisanal gelato parlour.

Affogato aims to bring together three pillars of Italian cuisine—bread, gelato, and coffee—under one roof. The gelateria offers a delightful blend of coffee from Javaphile and Rattan's gelato creations. Most of the gelati at Affogato are made without added sugar, using imported sugar alcohols as natural sweeteners.

Co-founder Shalini Rattan, a certified gelatine from Carpigiani Gelato University in Italy, is passionate about introducing authentic gelato to Mumbai. Affogato's patisserie menu is thoughtfully crafted by chefs Jasirah Dalvi and Faryaz Engineer, with a focus on tantalizing flavours and global dessert inspirations.
