Agilysys, a leading provider of hospitality software solutions, has announced the acquisition of Book4Time, a cloud-based spa management software company. While the financial details of the deal remain undisclosed, this strategic move marks a significant step in expanding Agilysys’ portfolio in the hospitality sector.

Book4Time, founded in 2004, has established itself as a key player in wellness hospitality, with its platform widely recognized for streamlining spa operations at hotels and resorts around the globe. The cloud-based platform offers comprehensive solutions for managing appointments, staff scheduling, inventory control, and enhancing guest experiences. Additionally, Book4Time provides in-depth corporate reporting, making it a valuable tool for spa managers and hospitality businesses.

A crucial factor in Book4Time's growth and global reach was the strategic investment by Serent Capital in 2020. This partnership enabled the company to scale its operations and expand its product offerings, positioning itself as a trusted name in over 100 countries.

Reflecting on the partnership, Roger Sholanki, CEO of Book4Time, stated, “Our partnership with Serent has been pivotal in enabling us to scale our operations and enhance our product offerings. Book4Time's platform boasts over 60 hotel system integrations, supports 15 languages, and provides round-the-clock customer support. The company claims to maintain the industry’s highest uptime at 99.99% and releases new updates every four to eight weeks, further enhancing its reliability and appeal to hospitality businesses.

Agilysys, known for its innovative software solutions, aims to maximize Return on Experience (ROE) through enhanced guest interactions. Its product suite includes Property Management Systems (PMS), Point-of-Sale (POS) solutions, and Food & Beverage Inventory and Procurement (I&P) systems. The acquisition of Book4Time is expected to complement these offerings, providing Agilysys clients with a more integrated and efficient solution for spa and wellness management.

In a recent move, Agilysys strengthened its presence in the hospitality sector by securing a deal with Marriott International in May to implement its InfoGenesis POS platform across Marriott’s properties in the US and Canada. This acquisition of Book4Time is anticipated to further solidify Agilysys’ standing as a leader in hospitality technology.
