Sanjh Restaurant & Bar has appointed Akash Kumar Kushwaha as Manager of Mixology, strengthening its beverage leadership with a hospitality professional bringing 15 years of experience across luxury hotels, fine dining establishments and beverage-focused operations in India and the USA.

In his new role, Kushwaha will oversee the beverage programme at Sanjh Restaurant & Bar, with responsibilities spanning cocktail innovation, menu development, service consistency, beverage cost management and team training.

He will also work on strengthening bar workflows and developing beverage experiences that complement the restaurant's overall dining proposition.

Kushwaha brings experience across several areas of food and beverage operations, including multi-venue management, pre-opening projects, beverage programme development, inventory control, vendor relations and team mentoring.

His career has included leadership positions with several established hospitality brands. Before joining Sanjh Restaurant & Bar in Texas, he served as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager and Restaurant Manager at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa.

He previously worked as Restaurants and Beverage Manager at Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Indore, followed by a role as Assistant Restaurant Manager at JW Marriott Kolkata.

His early beverage career included roles as Mixologist and Bartender at Cocktails & Dreams, New Delhi, where he developed expertise in cocktail preparation, beverage service and bar operations.

Across these roles, Kushwaha has worked across both hotel and standalone restaurant environments, gaining experience in beverage operations as well as broader food and beverage management.

At Sanjh Restaurant & Bar, his focus will be on building a consistent and contemporary beverage programme while supporting the development of the bar team and enhancing the overall guest experience.

His appointment adds dedicated beverage leadership to the restaurant's operations, with his responsibilities covering both the creative and operational aspects of its mixology programme
