Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABDL), one of the leading names in the Indian spirits industry, has announced the appointment of Anil Somani as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Somani takes over from Ramakrishnan Ramaswamy, who has been a key part of the leadership team for nearly 15 years, contributing significantly to the company's growth and success.

With a career spanning over 32 years, Somani brings a wealth of expertise in finance and strategy, having held key positions at Fortune 500 companies across sectors like manufacturing, retail, and Big 4 firms. A qualified chartered accountant, Somani's extensive background includes leadership in financial management, internal controls, ERP implementation, digital transformation, treasury, and M&A projects. Additionally, he is a certified SAP FICO consultant and certified information systems auditor (CISA), known for driving operational efficiency through innovative financial solutions.

Before joining ABDL, Anil Somani served as the CFO of Bata India Limited. His previous roles include leadership positions at Reliance Retail Limited, Infiniti Retail Limited (Croma), Walmart India Private Limited, and Metro Cash and Carry India Private Limited, where he consistently demonstrated his ability to drive financial excellence and improve operational efficiency.

With Somani's appointment, ABDL aims to further strengthen its financial operations and solidify its position as a key player in the Indian spirits market.
