In a significant move to cater to a broader audience, Switzerland-based Aman Resorts is set to launch a more affordable brand named Janu in 2024. This new venture marks a shift in Aman Resorts' strategy, aiming to meet the demands of guests seeking luxury experiences at more economical prices.

Janu Tokyo, the first property under this new brand, is scheduled to open its doors in March 2024. Located in the heart of the city, it promises to combine Aman's renowned service and design quality with a fresh spirit and pace.

The Janu Tokyo will house eight restaurants and a sprawling 4,000m2 wellness center. This center will include a gym, a hydrotherapy and thermal area, and a variety of plunge pools, both cold and hot, catering to the health and wellness needs of its guests.

Reflecting Aman's minimalist and symmetrical design ethos, Janu Tokyo will feature 122 rooms and suites, each offering private balconies with views of the Azabudai Hills. This design philosophy is geared to provide a tranquil and harmonious environment for guests.

While Janu aims to be more affordable, initial rates start at $944 per night, with prices potentially rising to about $1,400 during peak times at the end of 2024. This pricing strategy positions Janu as a more accessible option without compromising the luxury standards Aman is known for.

Aman Resorts has ambitious plans for the Janu brand, with 12 additional hotels in the pipeline. These are set to be located in diverse destinations including Saudi Arabia, Montenegro, Turks and Caicos, the UAE, South Korea, Portugal, Thailand, Turkey, and the Maldives.

According to Aman CEO Vlad Doronin, Janu is not just a hotel brand but a concept that aims to reignite the essence of genuine human interactions and connections. In a world increasingly dominated by digital communication, Janu is positioned to foster meaningful connections, thus leading the hospitality industry into uncharted territories.
