Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel and Fairfield by Marriott Ahmedabad have announced the appointment of Amit Kumar as Cluster General Manager. With more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, both in India and the United Kingdom, Kumar is set to bring a wealth of expertise to his new role overseeing both hotels.

Kumar's career began with Hyatt Hotels International, where he honed his skills in hotel management, particularly in pre-opening phases. He later joined Marriott International, contributing to the pre-opening team at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu. His leadership journey continued as he took on significant roles, including General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Raipur, where he successfully launched the city’s first Marriott hotel in 2016.

Most recently, Kumar served as General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan. Under his guidance, the hotel achieved notable successes, including improved market share, revenue, guest engagement, and profitability. His efforts earned the hotel several accolades, including the Marriott Select Brands Diamond Circle Award in 2023 and 2022, the Platinum Circle Award in 2019, the Hotel of the Year Award in 2019, and the JW Marriott Jr. Diversity and Inclusion Award of Excellence in 2019.

Kumar's dynamic leadership style and commitment to exceptional guest experiences are expected to drive continued success for both the Renaissance Ahmedabad and Fairfield by Marriott Ahmedabad.
