As Kolkata celebrates Durga Puja and Vijaya Dashami, Amrut Distilleries is highlighting a selection of whiskies, rum and gin for the festive season, bringing together distinct flavour profiles across its spirits portfolio.

The celebrations, marked by dhak beats, pandal hopping, traditional greetings and gatherings with family and friends, provide the backdrop for the brand's curated selection of spirits.

Among the featured expressions is Amrut Fusion, which combines Indian and Scottish barley whiskies matured separately before being blended. Its flavour profile brings together notes of fruit, spice, vanilla, chocolate and gentle peat, making it one of the distillery's best-known single malts.

Amrut Amalgam offers a different whisky profile, combining selected malt whiskies to create a rounded expression with notes of honey, ripe fruit, subtle spice and toasted oak.

The portfolio also includes Amrut Two Indies Rum, which blends Caribbean rums from Jamaica, Barbados and Guyana with Indian pot-still sugarcane rum made from jaggery. The resulting golden-amber spirit features notes of almond, sugarcane and tropical fruit, with honey and ripe fruit on the palate.

For gin enthusiasts, Amrut Nilgiris Indian Dry Gin draws inspiration from the botanicals of the Nilgiri Hills. Alongside juniper, its botanical selection includes coriander, lemongrass, cinnamon, tea and paan leaves.

Together, the four expressions offer different options for festive hosting and social occasions, spanning Indian single malt whisky, blended malt whisky, rum and Indian dry gin.
