Aravinda De Silva Inaugurates Barbeque Nation’s First Restaurant in Colombo

Barbeque Nation, one of Asia’s most renowned restaurant chains, has officially entered the Sri Lankan market with the launch of its first-ever restaurant in Colombo. This marks the brand’s expansion into its fifth international destination, following its presence in the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, and Malaysia. With this addition, the brand now operates nine international outlets alongside its 190 restaurants across India.

The grand opening was a lively affair, attended by cricket legend and former Sri Lankan captain Aravinda De Silva, who was accompanied by his wife, Anushka. Sharing his excitement about the brand's arrival in Colombo, De Silva expressed his appreciation for the live grill-to-table concept, calling it a unique dining experience for Sri Lanka. “With Sri Lankans' deep appreciation for Indian cuisine, I have no doubt that this concept will be well-received by diners in Colombo,” he remarked.
