Athulya Senior Care participated in the 22nd Annual Conference of the Indian Academy of Geriatrics, GERICON 2025, held at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune. The theme, “Collaborative Care in Geriatrics – Advancing Towards an Age-Friendly Healthcare System,” aligns closely with Athulya’s mission to build a compassionate and comprehensive approach to elder care.
Dr. Karthik Narayan R, Founder and Managing Director of Athulya Senior Care, joined a panel discussion alongside Dr. Vasanth Karthikeyan, V K Sashindran, and Behram Khodaiji, with the session moderated by Saumyajit Roy. During the conversation, he highlighted key areas shaping the future of geriatric care in India. These included the need for stronger integration across hospitals, community support, and long-term care, along with the importance of academic exposure beyond traditional medical pathways. He also emphasised the growing career opportunities in assisted living, rehabilitation, home-based care, and transitional care.
Athulya continues to focus on developing an age-friendly ecosystem that supports seniors with dignity while creating professional pathways for the next generation of healthcare providers. The participation at GERICON 2025 reinforces the organisation’s commitment to strengthening geriatric care through collaboration, awareness, and innovation.
Athulya Senior Care extended its appreciation to the organisers of GERICON 2025 for hosting a thoughtful and impactful conference, and looks forward to contributing to continued progress in India’s geriatric healthcare landscape.
