Atmosphere Core, a renowned name in South Asian hospitality, is making its first venture into Europe with the unveiling of Borgo Monchiero Heritage by Atmosphere in Piedmont, Italy. This historic property, originally a monastery from 1773, has been meticulously restored while retaining its Romanesque architecture and sacred frescoes, offering guests a glimpse into Italy’s rich cultural and artistic heritage.
Marking a key milestone for the brand, Group Managing Director Mr. Salil Panigrahi shared his thoughts on this expansion, stating, “Our collaborations with global partners, particularly in Europe, have been pivotal. With Italy’s Bottega S.p.A. joining our Wine Program, we are excited to establish our first European destination, set to open in 2026.”
Located in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Langhe region, Borgo Monchiero is surrounded by some of Italy’s most famous vineyards, including Barolo and Barbera. The hotel features 19 elegantly designed suites, a historic chapel perfect for wedding ceremonies, and a signature restaurant offering authentic regional cuisine. Guests can also enjoy private dining in the chapter hall, relax in a refined lounge bar, or take in breathtaking vineyard views from the garden terrace.
For those seeking indulgence, the hotel boasts a wellness retreat complete with a sauna, infrared therapy, and a private jacuzzi within a restored stone reservoir. The beautifully landscaped gardens, complemented by a swimming pool, set the stage for serene alfresco gatherings.
Franco Giampetruzzi and Gian Maria Debenedetti, the owners of Borgo Monchiero, expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership with Atmosphere Core. Giampetruzzi remarked, “We wanted an operator that valued authenticity while bringing a fresh vision. Atmosphere Core’s ‘Heritage’ brand aligned perfectly with our aspirations.” Debenedetti added, “This property is a seamless blend of history, art, and luxury, and we look forward to welcoming guests soon.”
Atmosphere Core has already built a stellar reputation with its luxury resorts in the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and India. The launch of Borgo Monchiero further strengthens its global presence, offering travelers a unique escape into Italy’s picturesque countryside.
With this expansion, the brand reaffirms its commitment to creating immersive, culturally rich, and luxurious hospitality experiences, making this new European venture one to watch.
