Atmosphere Core, a leading South Asian hospitality group, has announced its entry into Odisha’s Eastern Ghats with a luxury boutique resort in partnership with Pratyaksh Estates Private Limited. The new property, PRATYAKSH, An Atmosphere Experience Chandragiri, will open in the fourth quarter of 2027, introducing Odisha’s scenic southern landscapes to the brand’s global portfolio.

Nestled near the renowned Jirang Buddhist Monastery in Chandragiri, often called the “Mini Tibet of India”, the resort will feature 90 keys, including cottages, suites, luxury tents, and villas, all designed to blend with the serene valley landscapes.

Reflecting on the milestone, Mr. Salil Panigrahi, Founder and Group Managing Director of Atmosphere Core, said, “As part of our dynamic expansion across India, a key focus is developing premium experiences in hill station destinations with cultural heritage. This resort near Jirang Monastery is our effort to put Chandragiri on the global tourism map.”

Ms. Divyasnata Mohanty, Managing Director of Pratyaksh Estates, added, “Atmosphere Core’s legacy of excellence aligns with our vision for Chandragiri. Together, we will craft a sanctuary that reflects sophistication, grandeur, and authenticity, while elevating Odisha’s hospitality landscape.”

The resort will operate under the “An Atmosphere Experience” sub-brand and offer:

Dining: All-day restaurant with outdoor seating, speciality Indian and Tibetan restaurant, in-house bakery, lounge with library, and a themed bar.

Wellness: The award-winning ELE|NA Ayur Spa, meditation and yoga decks overlooking the monastery, and tranquil therapy spaces.

Leisure & Events: Curated indoor and outdoor activities, flexible indoor venues, expansive lawns, and dedicated boardrooms for weddings, meetings, and gatherings.

Chandragiri, approximately 250 km from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam, is celebrated for its verdant hills, Khasada Waterfall, and Tibetan cultural influences. The Jirang Monastery, inaugurated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 2010, is Eastern India’s largest monastery, showcasing Tibetan architecture, murals, statues, and prayer wheels.

India’s largest homegrown tea café chain, Tea Post, recently unveiled a heartwarming initiative titled ‘Apne Jaha, Utsav Waha’, celebrating the joy of togetherness and shared moments over a cup of chai.

As part of this initiative, Tea Post transformed its outlets across cities including Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Surat, and Ahmedabad into vibrant community spaces. The cafés featured festive décor and hosted a series of free, open-to-all workshops such as art, diya painting, and lantern making, inviting people to reconnect, create, and celebrate.

Complementing the artistic spirit, the cafés came alive with soothing music and soulful shayari, infusing warmth and nostalgia into the atmosphere, perfectly blending with the aroma of freshly brewed chai.

The much-awaited second edition of Manotsava – India’s National Mental Health Festival is returning to Bengaluru this November at The Lalit Ashok. Organised by the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) and the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) in collaboration with Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies (RNP), the festival promises two days of meaningful conversations, interactive sessions, and creative engagement around the theme of mental well-being.
