Two of India’s most celebrated microbreweries Fort City Brewing (New Delhi) and BYG BREWSKI Brewing Co. (Bengaluru)—have teamed up for a special launch this April: a limited-edition Cold IPA that beer lovers can enjoy in both cities.
The collaboration follows their recent recognition at the 30 Best Bars Awards 2024. BYG BREWSKI, Hennur was named People’s Choice Microbrewery or Taproom 2024, while Fort City Brewing took home the award for Best Microbrewery or Taproom 2024. With public enthusiasm for a joint brew running high, the two brands responded with this fresh new offering.
The Cold IPA style is a modern twist on the classic IPA. It features the clean, crisp profile of a lager with the bold hop bitterness and aroma beer lovers associate with an IPA. This brew highlights:
Motueka & Galaxy hops from New Zealand
Castle Malting malts from Belgium
E30 yeast by Fermentis for a clean, dry finish
ABV of 6.5% and IBU of 40
“This beer is clean, hoppy, and brewed for drinkability—it reflects both our brewing philosophies,” said Gautham Gandhi, Co-founder of Fort City Brewing.
Ajay Gowda, Director at BYG BREWSKI Brewing Co., added, “Our customers love bold, hop-forward beers. We knew a Cold IPA would resonate.”
The collaboration is being welcomed across the industry. “It’s lovely to see brands go beyond the awards night and give back to the consumer and the industry in such a creative way,” shared Vikram Achanta from 30 Best Bars. “This is the first such cross-collaboration stemming from our awards in the past five years.”
With BYG BREWSKI serving over 30,000 liters of craft beer monthly, and Fort City Brewing known for contemporary styles and precision brewing, this new beer is set to make waves.

April 12 – Fort City Brewing, Delhi
The Cold IPA will be available on tap for a limited time only, so beer fans are encouraged to experience the brew while it lasts.
