Ayushakti, one of the leading names in Ayurveda, is back with its much-anticipated Khichdi Festival, inviting Mumbaikars to enjoy a soulful spread of India’s beloved comfort food. Hosted at Swadshakti, Ayushakti’s Ayurvedic restaurant located in Malad West, the festival is running until 10th August, 2025, offering over 12 delightful varieties of khichdi that blend traditional Ayurvedic recipes with authentic Indian flavours.
Timed perfectly with the monsoon season, the festival is designed to support digestive wellness during a time when doshic imbalances are common. Each recipe at the festival is created with a deep understanding of Ayurveda, specifically keeping in mind the balance of vata, pitta, and kapha doshas. With a menu focused on promoting digestion and enhancing immunity, the Khichdi Festival isn’t just a culinary delight, it’s a celebration of food as medicine.
Guests can savour comforting dishes like Quinoa Dal Veg Khichdi, Lahsuni Palak Khichdi, and even a fusion twist like Mumbai Pav Bhaji Khichdi. Each plate is served with a side of Mung Roast Papad and a refreshing Energy Kadhi, adding both crunch and balance to the wholesome meal.
“We are excited to host our Annual Khichdi Festival once again. Food is a form of medicine in Ayurveda, and khichdi is one of the sattvic, most easily digestible, and healing meals we can have during monsoon,” said Vaidya Smita Naram, Co-Founder of Ayushakti. She also noted that a warm bowl of herb-infused khichdi can do wonders for one’s gut, immunity, and overall energy.
The menu has been thoughtfully curated to appeal to all age groups, ensuring that both the young and old can enjoy a nourishing meal that supports their wellbeing. Open from 11 AM to 11 PM daily, the Khichdi Festival at Swadshakti offers an inviting space for families and food lovers to come together over a healing bowl of khichdi.
The event promises not just flavour, but also a deeper connection to wellness through food, right in the heart of Mumbai.

This September, QLA debuts a refined dining experience with the launch of its Pizza & Wine Pairing menu. Designed as a seasonal showcase, the menu pairs artisanal pizzas with carefully selected wines, transforming a classic combination into an elevated culinary journey.
Developed by Chef Dipender Tiwari in collaboration with QLA’s sommeliers, each pairing is crafted to highlight balance, character, and flavour. The parma ham + burrata pairs with Piccini Merlot to offset its richness, while the wild garden + truffle finds harmony with Gatao Rosé. For indulgence, the zucchini + ricotta matches with Gatao White Wine, delivering a delicate blend of elegance and freshness. With vegetarian choices, gluten-free bases, and vegan-friendly toppings, the menu ensures inclusivity without compromising sophistication.
Set against the iconic Qutab Minar, QLA has established itself as one of Delhi’s most distinctive European dining destinations, blending French, Italian, and Spanish influences. The new Pizza & Wine Pairing menu reflects this philosophy, taking timeless European traditions and reinterpreting them with modern creativity.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere completes the experience. Candlelit interiors, warm wood accents, lounge music, and live weekend performances ensure every detail enriches the evening.
Commenting on the launch, Chef Dipender Tiwari, Director, Culinary & Dining, QLA, said, “At QLA, we see dining as an art form. With the Pizza & Wine Festival, we’ve transformed a classic pairing into a refined experience, where every flavour finds its perfect harmony in the glass”.
Launching on 10th September 2025, the Pizza & Wine Pairing menu will be available as a limited-time festival, inviting guests to pause, savour, and return.
Ironhill India, a leader in the country’s craft beer revolution, has set a new benchmark with the launch of Project Valkyrie. This first-of-its-kind collaboration with the all-female biker collective She for Society blends the adrenaline-fueled spirit of biking with the artistry of brewing to create a limited-edition craft beer.
Drawing from Norse mythology, the name Valkyrie symbolizes warrior women who led the brave to victory. That essence of resilience, autonomy, and camaraderie resonates with She for Society, a collective of women riders championing social causes. The collaboration, therefore, is not only a brewing innovation but also a cultural statement.
The launch event began with 35 riders completing a 2 km circuit before making their grand entry into Ironhill Bengaluru. Greeted with roaring engines and undeniable energy, the bikers were given an immersive tour of the brewhouse, moving through fermenters, mash tuns, and copper kettles. The highlight of the day was a rare “grain-to-glass” session, where the riders joined the Ironhill brewing team to shape the first notes of Valkyrie Brew themselves.
“At Ironhill, we’ve always believed beer is more than a drink…it’s an experience,” said Teja Chekuri, Managing Partner of Ironhill India. “Project Valkyrie is about rewriting the script. This isn’t just a beer launch; it’s a story of collaboration and courage. Brewed by women, for everyone, Valkyrie is a testament to innovation and inclusivity in the brewing industry. The strength and individuality of these riders remind us to keep pushing boundaries, both in craft and culture.”
Harshini Devatha, founder and lead rider of She for Society, also shared her thoughts: “Every ride we take has a purpose beyond the road. With Project Valkyrie, we’re not only celebrating the freedom of riding and the craft of brewing but also driving awareness for our mission, which focuses on raising funds to support education in rural communities. Partnering with Ironhill allows us to amplify that cause while showing that women riders are a force of resilience, courage, and change.”
The day concluded with a specially curated lunch where dishes were paired with Ironhill’s signature ales, emphasizing the brand’s philosophy of crafting flavor journeys rather than just serving pints.
The final unveiling of Valkyrie Brew is scheduled later this month, marking its entry as a crafted legend in Ironhill’s portfolio. For now, enthusiasts can experience the brew at Ironhill Bengaluru, located at Sy no 90, 7 & 90/8, Outer Ring Rd, beside Radisson Blu, Marathahalli Village, Bengaluru.
