Badra Coffee, an established name in the Indian coffee industry with a legacy dating back to 1943, has officially entered the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) market. Known for its commitment to quality, the 81-year-old brand is launching four new coffee blends, available for the first time to Indian consumers through its e-commerce platform.

For decades, Badra Coffee has been exporting its premium coffee to countries like Japan, the US, South Korea, Germany, and Norway. Now, the company is set to bring the authentic coffee experience from the Bababudangiri hills of Chikmagalur—the birthplace of Indian coffee—to the Indian retail market.

The four new blends—Temple Mountain, Misty Heights, Kaapi Nirvana, and Dakshin Fusion—are designed to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences. Temple Mountain offers a delicate and aromatic profile, while Kaapi Nirvana delivers a rich and robust experience. Misty Heights brings a fruity essence, and Dakshin Fusion is inspired by traditional South Indian filter coffee, offering a blend that includes chicory.

Jacob Mammen, Managing Director of Badra Estates, highlighted the brand’s deep connection to its roots and its focus on quality. “The Indian coffee market has evolved significantly. Indian consumers are now more discerning, seeking detailed information about the origin and flavors of their coffee,” Mammen said. “We collaborate closely with our buyers to understand their unique flavor preferences and customize our coffees to match their tastes. What sets us apart from other retailers is that we cultivate our coffee on our own estates in Chikmagalur. We call it relationship coffee.”

Badra Coffee’s entry into the D2C space allows the brand to maintain its “seed-to-cup” approach, ensuring that each cup of coffee is of the highest quality. The company takes pride in roasting and grinding its beans just before packaging, preserving the freshness and flavor of the coffee. In addition, Badra Coffee offers a unique coffee discovery experience at its estate in Chikmagalur, where customers can learn about the journey behind each cup.

This move is a significant step for Badra Coffee as it seeks to bring the authentic flavors of Chikmagalur closer to urban coffee lovers. By staying true to its heritage while embracing modern coffee trends, Badra Coffee aims to stand out in an increasingly competitive market. The brand’s sustainable practices, attention to detail, and commitment to quality make it a distinctive presence in the Indian coffee landscape.

Consumers can now purchase Badra Coffee’s premium blends directly from the brand’s website, with plans to introduce the products to online retail markets soon. Orders above Rs 500 will enjoy free delivery, and the blends will also be available on Amazon in the near future.

Delhi’s culinary landscape has welcomed a new and imaginative entrant with the launch of Tubata in Pitampura, introduced by restaurateur Neeraj Aggarwal, over a decade after he unveiled his first venture, Lotus Leaf.

Tubata is not just a restaurant, it has been envisioned as a sensorial playground and a being inspired by the raw forces of nature. According to the release, it is “a mystical creature born from the elements of air, land, and ocean, where bold flavours, evocative design, and elemental spirit come together in perfect balance.”

Sharing his vision, Aggarwal said, “Tubata is not just a restaurant, it’s a feeling. It’s a space to indulge, to celebrate, to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with something primal, something beautiful. It’s refined, imaginative, and unapologetically distinctive.”

Tubata’s identity draws from the harmony of opposing worlds, with its emblem, the leopard, symbolising grace, mastery, and movement. The interiors reflect lush foliage, marine coral, and fluid natural forms, echoing the philosophy that indulgence is not excess, but alignment with nature’s rhythm.

The restaurant’s design presents a mix of unmatched aesthetics, cosy interiors, and a hint of glamour. It takes guests back to an era of good food and good mood, offering a cosmic play of a bespoke global experience. The multi-cuisine menu has been curated by a culinary team driven by curiosity and craft, reimagining familiar flavours while also introducing innovative creations.

Tubata also evolves with time. By day, it offers a soulful, inviting space for relaxed lunches, conversations, or quiet indulgence. By night, the atmosphere shifts as the lights deepen, the drinks flow, and the space transforms into a lively destination filled with rhythm and celebration.

Aggarwal summarised, “With an identity rooted in evolution, transformation, and sensory delight, Tubata is not your regular restaurant, it’s an experience, vibe and memory. With all ingredients amalgamated together, Tubata will surely give you reason to visit again and again.”
