With a 100% asset acquisition from World Resorts Limited (WRL), BCM Group now holds full ownership of the luxury hotel and plans to transform it into a premier wedding destination and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facility in India.

This acquisition aligns perfectly with BCM Group’s strategic plans to expand into the luxury hospitality segment in India. The group’s existing luxury hospitality portfolio includes 5-star properties such as the Sheraton Grand Palace in Indore and Le Meridien in Surat, with a handover underway. Additionally, an upcoming 450+ key Taj Hotel in Indore further underscores their commitment to luxury hospitality. The Golden Palms Resorts and Spa is celebrated for its exquisite Moorish-Spanish cottage-style architecture. The resort features 150 luxurious rooms, a world-class spa, specialty restaurants with an exclusive vegetarian kitchen, a large swimming pool, a business center, expansive conference halls, and diverse recreational facilities. BCM Group aims to revamp The Golden Palms Resorts and Spa into a Luxury Urban Resort with amenities that meet global standards. Plans include upgrading the existing facilities and services, enhancing the design to revive its former glory, and adding over 50 new rooms. The existing management team, along with new members, will undergo extensive training and development programs to elevate the property’s service.

Appu Hotels Ltd. has announced a major milestone with the signing of a long-term 20-year agreement with Marriott International for its flagship properties, Le Royal Méridien Chennai and Le Méridien Coimbatore. The renewed partnership reinforces Marriott’s commitment to both hotels and sets a strong, stable future for the brand in Tamil Nadu.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Avneet Singh Bhutani, Vice President – Asset Management, AP & EC, Marriott International, and Dr. Palani G. Periasamy, Chairman of Appu Hotels Ltd. The ceremony took place at Le Royal Méridien Chennai and included media interaction, a champagne toast, and a reaffirmation of Marriott’s global standards across both properties.

Strategically located between the airport and the city’s business hubs, Le Royal Méridien Chennai features 240 rooms, multiple restaurants and bars, a large banquet area for up to 1,500 guests, an outdoor pool, and a range of modern facilities.
