Bhagat Halwai, a name synonymous with tradition and taste, has unveiled its exquisite Ghewar Collection to celebrate the spirit of the monsoon and the upcoming festive season. From being an essential part of the traditions and festivities in Teej and Rakshabandhan to simply indulging a sweet craving, Bhagat Halwai’s ghewar embodies the joy of togetherness and the timeless love for authentic Indian sweets.

The specially curated collection includes a delightful variety of flavours: Sada Ghewar, Malai Ghewar, Kesar Ghewar, Kesar Malai Ghewar, Mango Ghewar, and Chocolate Ghewar, each crafted to perfection, wrapped in ghee, love, and legacy.

“For generations, ghewar has been the taste of celebration at Bhagat Halwai. It’s a monsoon delight that brings families together, steeped in tradition yet evolving with time. It's mandatory to carry sweets during Teej to the homes of sisters and daughters. They are also exchanged during Rakshabandhan. Gradually, this has spread widely in the entire North India and here people prefer to buy this on the day of Raksha Bandhan. Our new collection pays tribute to this legacy while introducing exciting flavours for today’s discerning customers,” said Shivam Bhagat, Director, Bhagat Halwai.

With its rich texture and irresistible taste, Bhagat Halwai’s ghewar continues to hold a special place in the hearts of sweet lovers. As the festive season approaches, the brand invites everyone to savour the authentic flavours of their heritage sweets.

“At Bhagat Halwai, we believe love for ghewar stays timeless. With every bite, we hope our customers feel the same warmth and joy that has defined our sweets for decades. Buyers specifically seek out ghewar because it’s a seasonal delicacy, known for its incredible taste and convenient shelf life. It’s also very handy, available in a variety of sizes, from half-kilogram portions to mini and bite-sized single-serve variants,” added Riddhi Bhagat, Strategic Director, Bhagat Halwai.

Celebrate the season with Bhagat Halwai’s Ghewar Collection, a perfect blend of tradition and indulgence.

Harajuku Tokyo Cafe has raised $2 million (₹19 crores) in its first institutional funding round, setting the stage for a bigger national expansion. The round was led by Indian Angel Network (IAN), with participation from Samved VC, LetsVenture, and venture debt fund Capitar Ventures.

The brand is attracting strong investor interest, with additional funding expected to follow. This milestone comes soon after its grand Mumbai entry at Jio World Drive, BKC, where both Harajuku Tokyo Cafe and Harajuku Bakehouse drew an overwhelming response from customers.

Founded in 2021 by Gaurav Kanwar, Harajuku Tokyo Cafe has carved a niche by bringing authentic Japanese cuisine to India in a casual dining and quick-service format. In just a few years, the brand has scaled to 7 outlets across Delhi NCR and Mumbai, crossing ₹30 crores in annual recurring revenue.

Looking ahead, the company aims to grow aggressively with a target of 90 outlets across 20 cities by 2027 and revenue projections of over ₹200 crores. To kickstart this expansion, Letters of Intent have already been signed for 15 upcoming locations in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Ludhiana, and Chandigarh.

“This funding milestone strengthens our vision of democratising Japanese cuisine in India. What began as a passion project to make Japanese food accessible has evolved into a scalable business model that resonates with India's evolving palate. With our Mumbai launch exceeding all expectations and this funding secured, we're positioned to become India's leading Japanese dining destination”, said Gaurav Kanwar, founder and CEO of Harajuku Tokyo Cafe
