Brigade Group, a prominent real estate developer, is setting its sights on expanding its residential and hospitality portfolios in Chennai, marking a significant stride in its strategic growth plan. The company recently announced a joint development agreement with PVP Ventures Limited to construct a high-rise residential project in the vibrant neighborhood of Perambur. Spanning 16 acres, this development is poised to offer 2.5 million square feet of living space, with an estimated revenue potential of around INR 2000 crore.
In addition to the residential venture, Brigade has also embarked on a journey to enhance its hospitality offerings with a 45-year lease agreement to develop a 250-room resort along the picturesque East Coast Road (ECR). The company is currently in discussions with leading hoteliers to manage the resort's operations, aiming to cater to the growing demand for luxury and comfort among modern travelers.
Pavitra Shankar, Managing Director of Brigade Enterprises Limited, emphasized the importance of Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad as key markets for Brigade. "This strategic expansion in the residential and hospitality sectors is an integral part of our overall growth plan," Shankar stated. The choice of Chennai for these new projects is driven by the city's dynamic growth, fueled by the expanding presence of IT/ITeS, BFSI, manufacturing, automotive, and GCC companies in the region.
With a substantial land bank of over 12 million square feet of residential projects across Chennai, Brigade is poised to make Chennai its second-largest market after Bengaluru. This expansion not only solidifies Brigade's footprint in the real estate and hospitality sectors but also contributes to the socio-economic development of Chennai.
Nirupa Shankar, Joint Managing Director of Brigade Enterprises Limited, shared insights into the company's hospitality ambitions. "The ECR property in Chennai will be our first resort and is part of our plan to increase our total room count by another 1200 keys over the next four years," she said. The upcoming resort under the Brigade badge is expected to offer a unique blend of luxury, comfort, and impeccable service, enhancing the company's hospitality portfolio and the region's tourism and hospitality landscape.
As Brigade Group continues to explore new opportunities and ventures, its commitment to delivering exceptional experiences and value to its customers remains unwavering. The Chennai expansion signifies Brigade's dedication to innovation and excellence in the real estate and hospitality industries.
