Café Amudham is bringing its beloved South Indian flavours to the heart of Delhi with the opening of its second city outlet at Janpath, Connaught Place, on April 10, 2025. Following the enthusiastic reception at its Green Park location, this launch marks a major milestone, eight outlets across India in just over two years.
Launched in 2022 in Bangalore, Café Amudham was built on a simple yet powerful idea: to turn traditional South Indian cuisine into a modern-day delight. With a menu that features everything from fluffy Pudi Idlis and crisp dosas to rich filter coffee and forgotten regional recipes, the café has quickly made a mark in urban food scenes.
“Our Green Park outlet saw an overwhelming response, reaffirming that there’s a strong appetite for a fresh, elevated South Indian experience in Delhi,” shared Priyanka Rudrappa, Co-founder and CEO of Café Amudham. “With Janpath, we’re excited to build on that momentum and serve even more guests in the city's cultural heart.”
Designed to create a warm, immersive environment, the Janpath café offers an open kitchen, ambient lighting, and the comforting rhythms of South Indian music. The space brings together traditional elements and modern aesthetics, creating a setting that feels both familiar and new.
As with all its outlets, Café Amudham at Janpath promises culinary authenticity. From sourcing key ingredients from the South to highlighting regional specialities that often go unnoticed, the brand continues to celebrate the diverse tapestry of South Indian food culture.
With this expansion, Café Amudham is reinforcing its role in redefining how India enjoys South Indian cuisine—flavourful, accessible, and made for today’s diners.
