The Paloma is a beloved Mexican cocktail known for its bright, sparkling citrus flavour. Traditionally crafted with tequila and grapefruit soda, it offers a sweet-meets-bitter taste with a dash of salt, making it a bold yet breezy drink. Served in a salt-rimmed glass over ice and topped with a wedge of grapefruit or a lime wheel, the Paloma brings out the vibrant essence of summer in every sip.
Here’s how you can make the signature Paloma by BLR Brewing Co.:
Tequila – 50 ml
Fresh Grapefruit Juice – 90 ml
Lime Juice – 10 ml
Salt – 3 pinches (plus extra for rimming)
Soda Water – To top up
Garnish – Grapefruit wedge or lime wheel
Glassware – Salt-rimmed tumbler glass
Step 1: Rim a tumbler glass with salt (optional). Simply rub a lime wedge around the rim and dip into salt. Step 2: Fill the glass with ice.
