In a grand showcase of the latest wedding trends and insights, the WeddingSutra Grand Engage 2023 unfolded at InterContinental Jaipur, Tonk Road, from December 12th to 14th. This two-day extravaganza gathered esteemed professionals from the wedding industry, fostering meaningful discussions, networking, and immersive experiences.
Mr. Sudeep Jain, Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts, expressed enthusiasm about hosting the IHG Wedding Showcase 2023 in collaboration with Wedding Sutra. Mandiratta highlighted the importance of convenient locations for grandparents and how this factor contributes to the resurgence of hometown weddings. Moderated by Parthip Thyagarajan, WeddingSutra CEO and co-founder, panel discussions covered diverse topics such as homegrown brands in the wedding space and the evolving food preferences of Millennials and Gen Z.
The event featured key speakers like Srikant Kanoi, Co-founder of Ethereal Celebration Management, Pritesh Sharma, Founder of Mapsor Experiential Weddings, and Ashima Arora, Owner of Aroosi Events. The panels delved into the dynamic landscape of weddings in India, providing valuable perspectives for industry professionals. The afternoon concluded with a creatively designed mehndi mela, showcasing the inventive skills of wedding influencers.

In a landmark collaboration poised to reshape the hospitality and real estate sectors, Della Group has announced a strategic partnership with Hiranandani Developers and Krisala Developers to develop India’s first racecourse-themed luxury township in North Hinjewadi, Pune. Spanning 40 acres of a larger 105-acre master plan, this venture promises to be more than a township—it is set to become a destination.
This unique alliance brings together three giants with complementary strengths:

With an estimated investment of ₹500 crore in its initial phase and projected revenues of ₹1,100 crore, the project uses a development management model. Della Group will earn a 15% topline fee, a bold move that aligns brand involvement with performance.
This model is transformational—bringing professional hospitality expertise into township development. It signals a new era where hospitality design principles guide real estate planning.
The township is already in advanced planning stages, with land acquisition complete and architectural designs underway. The first phase launches within three months, with possession of resort and villa plots by early next year, and the remainder—including private residences—by 2026.
Architecturally, the design will blend contemporary, organic, and British colonial aesthetics—creating a timeless, resort-style environment rarely seen in Indian housing developments.
What makes this venture extraordinary isn’t just its scale—it’s the merging of luxury hospitality with daily life. Residents won’t just live in homes—they’ll live within a curated, five-star experience. Every villa, every apartment, and every corner of the township is a touchpoint for hospitality-led living.

Chef Balasundaram Murugesan, fondly known as Chef Bala, has launched Anthara, a French-American patisserie and dining space in Bangalore’s vibrant Marathahalli neighbourhood. Spanning 2400 sq ft, Anthara offers an immersive gastronomic experience that unites the elegance of French patisserie with the bold comfort of American flavours.
Nestled amid blooming bougainvillea and warm earthy tones, Anthara has been designed to encourage guests to pause and savour life's simple indulgences. From day to night, the venue transforms from a vibrant café to a laid-back dining and lounge setting, inviting patrons to explore handcrafted coffees, custom-styled sandwiches, refined plated dishes, and an array of artisanal desserts.
Speaking about the launch, Chef Bala said, “Anthara is the culmination of my passion for soulful cuisine and my belief in the power of hospitality to connect people. With Anthara, I wanted to create a space that feels personal yet refined — where food isn’t just consumed, but truly experienced.”
The culinary programme at Anthara showcases a daily rotation of house-baked breads, forming the base for rich, American deli-style sandwiches. A thoughtfully curated beer and coffee pairing menu complements the comfort food offerings. The French patisserie section highlights refined creations like éclairs and macarons, prepared using traditional techniques and premium ingredients.
