The Quartier Hotel Bangkok has appointed Chef Chandra Mohan Sharma as Executive Chef, bringing extensive experience in luxury hospitality, Indian specialty cuisine and high-volume banquet operations across India and Thailand.

With a career spanning leading hospitality properties including Amari Watergate Bangkok, lebua Hotels & Resorts Bangkok and Hyatt Regency Delhi, Sharma will oversee the hotel's culinary operations with a focus on kitchen leadership, operational efficiency and consistent guest experiences.

In his new role, Sharma will be responsible for the property's kitchen teams, menu development, food quality, purchasing, cost management and hygiene standards. His responsibilities will also include kitchen planning and execution, team development and maintaining consistency across the hotel's food and beverage operations.

Sharma's experience covers a range of culinary disciplines, including traditional Indian cuisine, South Indian cooking, tandoor preparations and contemporary presentation, alongside exposure to continental cuisine. His appointment also comes as Indian cuisine continues to find a place within Bangkok's diverse hospitality and dining landscape.

Before joining The Quartier Hotel Bangkok, Sharma served as Chef de Cuisine at Amari Watergate Bangkok, ONYX Hospitality Group, where he was responsible for Indian cuisine and banquet food operations. His role included menu development, direct food purchasing, kitchen team training and quality control, while also introducing new culinary techniques and dishes.

At lebua Hotels & Resorts Bangkok, Sharma worked as an Indian Chef, focusing on Indian cuisine while contributing to kitchen operations, food preparation and the delivery of authentic Indian flavours within a luxury hospitality environment.

His earlier experience includes Hyatt Regency Delhi, where he worked across Indian and continental cuisine. He was also involved in banquet operations, junior chef training and maintaining food quality and hygiene standards.
