Sodexo UK & Ireland has officially opened its flagship Modern Recipe restaurant, a new concept in workplace dining, with a launch event led by renowned chef Kate Austen. The restaurant, located at the global head office of a major PLC, marks a key step in Sodexo’s commitment to transforming corporate dining by offering healthy, sustainable, and exciting meal options tailored to today’s workforce.
The Modern Recipe concept emphasizes the use of responsibly sourced ingredients to create a wide variety of dishes, ensuring that customers can enjoy flavorful, nutritious food throughout the day. This all-day dining model provides flexibility to suit the needs of modern employees with changing schedules, offering everything from breakfast to lunch and snacks.
With the capacity to serve up to 1,500 people daily, the restaurant has been designed to provide a relaxed yet dynamic atmosphere. The newly renovated space features digital screens and wayfinding tools to enhance the customer experience. The restaurant is organized into three main serving areas, including a large salad bar with a hot protein section, ensuring a wide selection of meal options.
The menu, which reflects global culinary trends, includes dishes such as Panko chicken Katsu, sweet potato Bobo with Brazilian rice, and a range of bistro-style offerings like Teriyaki tuna steak and grilled lamb Kofta. A Chapter & Verse coffee bar also serves premium coffee, made from 100% Arabica beans sourced from Brazil and Colombia, alongside sandwiches, wraps, and baguettes for those seeking quick bites. Additionally, the café provides a click-and-collect option for employees on the go.
Chef Kate Austen’s involvement brings a fresh perspective to the Modern Recipe brand. At the launch event, she shared her culinary expertise, offering tips and discussing her vision for creating dining spaces that nurture both the body and mind. “Modern Recipe is all about bringing people together through food, creating memorable moments, and offering a space where employees can relax and connect,” she said. Austen also previewed some signature dishes she is developing with the Sodexo team, which will be introduced to the menu later this fall.
Lynsey O’Keefe, CEO of Corporate Services and Energy & Resources at Sodexo UK & Ireland, emphasized that the restaurant embodies the company’s commitment to sustainability and employee well-being. “This flagship Modern Recipe restaurant is a significant step for us in delivering sustainable and valuable dining experiences. We aim to offer a place where people can come together, enjoy good food, and build a sense of community within the workplace,” she said.
Sodexo’s Modern Recipe brand is already present at more than 30 locations across the UK, catering to various industries such as energy, financial services, pharmaceuticals, and technology. These outlets range from large restaurants and cafés to smaller formats like kitchenettes, micro-markets, and smart fridges. Each location reflects the brand’s ethos of offering high-quality, sustainable food while enhancing the workplace environment.
The launch of this flagship restaurant highlights the continued expansion of Modern Recipe, with plans to extend the brand’s presence across more Sodexo client sites in the near future. By incorporating elements from popular high-street food concepts into the corporate setting, Modern Recipe aims to make dining at work both enjoyable and convenient.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), a leader in global cruise travel, has announced extensive revitalizations for Norwegian Epic and Pride of America, both scheduled to debut their new enhancements in time for the 2025 summer season. These upgrades aim to give travelers even more freedom, flexibility, and fun with improved accommodations and entertainment for all age groups.
“We are excited to provide guests with MORE to do on board starting this summer,” said David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Delivering the best vacation experience, where guests have the freedom to do more of what they love, is and will always continue to be our goal.”
The Norwegian Epic will complete its three-week dry dock on May 8, 2025, and return with notable additions to its top deck, including a new hot tub on deck 18 and a refreshed Kids’ Aqua Park, which replaces the Splashgolf area. The Vibe Beach Club, an adults-only retreat, will be expanded with more lounge chairs, private cabanas, and an additional hot tub. Also, eight new staterooms—a mix of balconies and oceanviews—will be added.
Following these enhancements, Norwegian Epic will begin a season of bucket-list cruises in Europe. Guests can enjoy nine to eleven-day sailings from Rome to stunning Mediterranean and Greek Isles destinations such as Santorini, Mykonos, Valletta, Naples, Catania, and Florence/Pisa. Later in the year, the ship will return to San Juan, Puerto Rico, for seven-day Southern Caribbean cruises visiting Tortola, St. Lucia, Barbados, and more.
Meanwhile, the Pride of America will undergo upgrades from May 3 to 31, 2025, including a new Starbucks location in The Capitol Atrium and the introduction of pickleball within the existing sports court.
To offer guests more choices, 12 new Club Balcony Suites and three Inside Staterooms will be added to deck 12. The ship’s youth facilities—Splash Academy and Entourage teen club—will be relocated to deck 6, while new Library and Card Room spaces will be added, replacing older venues.
After its dry dock, Pride of America will resume its signature seven-day inter-island Hawaii cruises, the only ones of their kind in the world. Departing from Honolulu 52 weeks a year, this itinerary offers nearly 100 hours of port time with immersive overnight stays in Maui and Kauai, allowing guests to explore four Hawaiian islands in one unforgettable journey.
These upgrades further reinforce Norwegian Cruise Line’s commitment to offering guests enriching and flexible travel experiences tailored to their preferences.
Adventures by Disney has announced two brand-new European land itineraries for 2026, offering travelers unique opportunities to explore the cultural richness of Switzerland and the mythical beauty of Greece. Known for creating unforgettable family travel experiences, Adventures by Disney continues to expand its global portfolio with more than 40 guided-group adventures across the world.
The new Switzerland itinerary allows guests to take in stunning alpine landscapes, charming lakeside towns, and cultural delights. The adventure includes an alpine hike with views of the Matterhorn, the mountain that inspired Disneyland’s iconic Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction. Guests can also look forward to savoring authentic Swiss treats like fondue and chocolate, visiting the medieval Château de Chillon, kayaking in the turquoise waters of Lake Brienz, and enjoying an exclusive after-hours visit to the Olympic Museum.
The Greece itinerary, titled Mythology of Athens, Peloponnese & Rhodes, brings ancient stories and historic wonders to life. Guests will explore famous landmarks including the Acropolis of Athens, Mycenae, and the Epidaurus Theatre. The journey also includes kayaking and snorkeling above an underwater archaeological site, visiting the picturesque port town of Nafplio, and discovering the medieval city of Rhodes, once home to the legendary Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Each adventure is led by Disney-trained Adventure Guides who ensure a seamless experience for all age groups. Special activities for “Junior Adventurers” make these journeys ideal for families, while select departures are reserved exclusively for adults.
In 2026, Adventures by Disney will offer nine departures to Switzerland (six for families and three for adults) and ten departures to Greece (six for families and four for adults).

Dusit Hotels and Resorts, the hotel arm of Thailand’s leading hospitality brand Dusit International, is expanding its footprint in Vietnam with the opening of Dusit Le Palais Tu Hoa Hanoi on 9 May 2025. This marks Dusit’s debut in the capital city and its second property in Vietnam, following the success of Dusit Princess Moonrise Beach Resort in Phu Quoc. Her story is woven into the hotel’s design and philosophy, creating a unique retreat that pays tribute to craftsmanship, community, and cultural pride.
The hotel houses 207 elegantly designed rooms and suites offering views of either the West Lake or the Hanoi skyline. Each room blends contemporary luxury with Vietnamese aesthetics, supported by Dusit’s hallmark warm and intuitive service, catering to both business and leisure travellers.
Culinary offerings include Soi Restaurant serving authentic Thai cuisine, Vinci Italian Restaurant and Rooftop Bar with panoramic city views, Phở Lụa for a Vietnamese street-food experience focused on the country’s signature noodle soup, and Dusit Gourmet for pastries, coffee, and afternoon tea. The hotel also features four private dining rooms for exclusive events.
Dusit Le Palais Tu Hoa Hanoi goes beyond accommodation, offering a fully equipped gym, wellness activity spaces, three ballrooms, and a rooftop event venue ideal for weddings, conferences, and social gatherings.
