Andaaz Restaurant in New Jersey has appointed Chef Mohd Bahauddin Khan as Sous Chef, bringing more than 12 years of experience across culinary operations, kitchen management and hospitality in India and the Maldives.
Chef Khan's career includes roles with established hospitality brands such as Hyatt Regency Lucknow, Kuda Villingili Resort in the Maldives, Taj Hotels, Marriott Hotels and Sarovar Hotels, giving him experience across hotel, resort and restaurant kitchen operations.
In his new role at Andaaz Restaurant, Khan will support daily kitchen operations, food production, menu execution and food quality. His responsibilities will also include coordinating the kitchen team, supporting staff training and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
Before joining Andaaz, Khan served as Sous Chef at Hyatt Regency Lucknow, where he was involved in kitchen operations, food production, quality control and hygiene standards while coordinating with the culinary team.
He previously worked as Sous Chef at Kuda Villingili Resort in the Maldives, gaining international exposure to luxury resort kitchens, high-volume food production and guest-focused culinary operations.
Earlier in his career, Khan held culinary positions with several hospitality brands in India, including Taj Mahal Lucknow, Fairfield by Marriott Dehradun, Fairfield by Marriott Lucknow, Courtyard by Marriott Bhopal, La Place Sarovar Portico Lucknow and India Awadh Lucknow.
His experience across these properties has provided exposure to kitchen operations, food preparation, team coordination and service standards across different hospitality formats.
At Andaaz Restaurant, Khan will focus on maintaining consistency across food preparation and service while working with the culinary team on day-to-day operations and menu execution.
