Chinese Wok, India’s largest Chinese restaurant chain, has introduced a unique augmented reality (AR) experience across its outlets, transforming routine dining into an interactive and engaging journey. This latest innovation reinforces Chinese Wok’s position as a pioneer in combining technology with its signature Desi-Chinese cuisine.

At participating outlets, customers can scan a QR code placed on tables, counters, takeaway, or delivery bags to unlock the AR feature. A lively CGI Chinese Wok chef then appears on their screens, performing dynamic stunts—flipping woks, tossing noodles, and presenting the brand’s popular dishes, creating a playful and memorable encounter.

Aayush Madhusudan Agrawal, Founder and Director of Lenexis Foodworks, shared, “At Chinese Wok, we constantly push the boundaries of innovation while reflecting our youthful and vibrant brand identity. This immersive initiative redefines how our customers interact with us, blending fun with functionality. It resonates well with today’s digitally savvy audience and enriches every dining occasion.”

Adding to the excitement, customers who share their AR moments on Instagram Stories while tagging @chinesewokin stand a chance to receive exclusive gift vouchers, making the dining journey even more rewarding.

Chinese Wok, part of Lenexis Foodworks, has built a strong footprint with over 225 outlets across 35+ cities and continues to delight customers with bold Desi-Chinese flavours and a diverse menu. As part of its expansion strategy, the brand plans to open 25+ new outlets in East India over the next year, contributing to its vision of launching 100 additional restaurants across 20 cities by FY25.

Leveraging influencer marketing, Chinese Wok aims to amplify the reach of this AR campaign, engaging audiences and creating a digital buzz.

In the heart of Bengaluru’s buzzing nightlife, Tommy’s has officially opened its doors on Old Airport Road, a refreshing return to the no-frills neighbourhood bar that feels as familiar as it is fun.

Tommy’s sits at a location steeped in history, once home to iconic spots like HAL Bar, Krupa’s, and Sai Krupa. Now, the reinvented space brings new energy while honouring its past with kitsch cat memorabilia, nostalgic music posters, and a Rock-Ola jukebox that takes requests, one of just four in India.

“Bangalore has always had a culture of everyday drinking, not in excess, but in ease,” said Sujay Venkatesh, Founder of Tommy’s. “With Tommy’s, we wanted to bring back that spirit of no pretence, just solid food, great drinks, and a place that remembers your regular.”

The vibe inside is unmistakably Bangalore: quirky, cool, and comforting. With sticker-covered windows, cassette-tiled walls, and a popcorn machine reminiscent of old single-screen theatres, the interiors make you smile while you sip.

From cocktails like Tommy’s Margarita, Batanga, and Strawberry Daiquiri to draught beers and rare whiskies, the bar menu is crowd-pleasing and extensive. The food strikes a nostalgic chord too, think egg bhurji, bheja masala, biryani, mutton seekh, and chilli cheese naan bites. It’s comfort food meets classic bar fare.

More than just a watering hole, Tommy’s is designed to be your go-to, whether it’s a quick post-work drink, a lazy weekend unwind, or a spot to let the jukebox play your story. Open seven days a week, it brings back the ease and charm of everyday bars, the kind that remember your name and your drink.

Address: 1st Floor, No.89, AM Plaza, HAL Old Airport Road, Murugeshpalya, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560017.
