Cinépolis India, the country’s first international cinema exhibitor, has unveiled Foovies a fresh concept that reimagines what a movie outing can be. Introduced in Hyderabad, Foovies brings together India’s two biggest passions food and cinema under one roof.
Traditionally, a movie night meant dinner followed by a film. Cinépolis has fused the two into a seamless in-theatre dining experience where guests can enjoy indulgent, freshly prepared meals while watching their favourite films. It’s not just snacking anymore; Foovies transforms cinema food into a curated culinary affair.
The menu moves far beyond the expected popcorn and cola. Patrons can now savour pizzas, wraps, fries, nachos, samosas, and even rich in-house desserts, all prepared fresh. With this shift, Cinépolis is positioning itself not just as a multiplex, but as a lifestyle destination where food and entertainment converge.
To celebrate the launch, Cinépolis has introduced Foovies25, a special offer giving 25% off on both food and movie tickets. Club Cinépolis members will also benefit from earning and redeeming loyalty points on food and beverage purchases.
Speaking on the launch, Devang Sampat, Managing Director, Cinépolis India, said, “At Cinépolis, we don’t just showcase films, we craft experiences. Foovies is our bold step to make every movie visit an immersive lifestyle indulgence, blending the joy of cinema with the comfort of world-class food”.
Since its entry into India in 2009, Cinépolis has been at the forefront of cinema innovation, from luxury recliners and Dolby sound to its much-loved fresh popcorn. With Foovies, it takes the experience a step further transforming theatres into dining destinations and offering audiences a new way to enjoy cinema.
About Cinépolis India:
Cinépolis India is a group company of Cinépolis and the first international cinema exhibitor to enter the country. Today, it operates 449 screens under the brands Cinépolis, Cinépolis VIP, and Fun Cinemas. Known for innovations like luxury cinemas, Cinépolis Junior (a child-friendly auditorium concept), and its popular loyalty program Club Cinépolis, the brand continues to set benchmarks in entertainment. Over the years, it has also been recognised with several awards, including “India’s Top Multiplex Chain of the Year” and “Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Best Turnaround” at MAPIC India 2023.
With Foovies, Cinépolis is once again reshaping the way India consumes entertainment, making every movie outing a blend of great flavour, comfort, and storytelling.

Hilton has announced the signing of Hilton Hyderabad Gachibowli, a 304-key business and convention hotel set to open in January 2029. Developed in partnership with Shree Venkateshwara Hotels and Convention, the property will rise in Hyderabad’s fast-growing financial district, making it the second Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in the city after the upcoming Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa.
Strategically located on ISB Road in Gachibowli, one of India’s most prominent commercial corridors, the new Hilton will cater to Hyderabad’s booming business and technology ecosystem. The area enjoys excellent connectivity to HITEC City, Neopolis, and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, making it an ideal hub for business and convention travelers.
The hotel will feature 304 contemporary rooms and suites, along with an array of world-class amenities. Guests can look forward to an all-day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants, two bars, an executive lounge, fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, and a business center.
A standout highlight is the 62,000 square feet of convention space, one of the largest in the city. With three ballrooms, a junior ballroom, and two meeting halls, Hilton Hyderabad Gachibowli is poised to become a premier destination for MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions). Dedicated event teams will ensure every gathering, from corporate conferences to personal celebrations, is delivered seamlessly.
Speaking about the development, Zubin Saxena, Senior Vice President and Regional Head, South Asia, Hilton, said: “This signing reflects Hilton’s continued commitment to expanding in high-potential markets. With Telangana’s focus on becoming a world-class hub for IT and Biotechnology, Hyderabad has been at the forefront of this transformation. By entering the market with our flagship Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand, we are looking forward to contributing to the city’s rapid evolution as a bustling metropolis with high quality hospitality.”
R. Venkat Ramana, Managing Partner, Shree Venkateshwara Hotels and Convention, added: “Partnering with Hilton, a brand synonymous with world-class hospitality, aligns with our vision to develop a landmark property that adds value to the city’s hospitality and events landscape. The new Hilton hotel will address the growing requirements of business and MICE travelers in the city, thereby contributing significantly to infrastructure and tourism growth in Hyderabad.”
With Hyderabad’s economy crossing $94 billion GDP and over 110 million sq. ft. of Grade A office space, demand for premium stays and event venues continues to surge. Hilton’s expansion comes at a time when the city is emerging as one of India’s top destinations for international conferences and corporate gatherings.
Currently, Hilton has a strong portfolio of 71 trading and pipeline hotels in South Asia, and is on track to grow to 300 hotels over the next decade. In India, the brand recently announced plans to double its presence to keep pace with the country’s dynamic travel and hospitality market.

Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has announced an ambitious roadmap under the banner of “Evolution 2025”, unveiled at its annual leadership conclave hosted at Cygnett Inn Airport, Jaipur. The initiative outlines a bold vision designed to transform the hospitality experience in India, driven by technology, sustainability, wellness, and expansion across Tier II, Tier III, and metropolitan cities.
The conclave, an annual platform for innovation and strategy, brought together mentors, leaders, and industry stakeholders to align on the brand’s future in a rapidly evolving travel landscape.
At the core of Evolution 2025 is technology adoption. Cygnett Hotels will introduce seamless digital check-ins, AI-powered guest personalization, and smart room features that adapt to individual preferences, offering guests a balance of convenience and comfort.
Equally central is the company’s sustainability commitment. New eco-friendly practices will be rolled out across its hotels to minimize environmental impact while enhancing guest experience, affirming the brand’s stance that “sustainability is a responsibility, not a choice.”
Recognizing the growing demand for well-being, Cygnett will expand its wellness portfolio, introducing rejuvenating spa therapies, health-focused dining, and holistic lifestyle offerings tailored to modern travelers.
The brand is also reimagining its properties with flexible, adaptive spaces, venues designed to transform from business hubs by day into vibrant social celebration spaces by evening. Alongside this transformation, Cygnett is investing in advanced training and engagement tools to help staff anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized, memorable stays.
On the expansion front, Cygnett announced a robust pipeline of new properties across India, with a strategic focus on Tier II & III cities in addition to metro hubs. The portfolio will feature a mix of upscale hotels, mid-market properties, and resorts, targeting both leisure and business travelers.
“The hospitality industry is at the cusp of one of its greatest transformations. At Cygnett Hotels, we are not just responding to these changes, we are driving them. Evolution 2025 marks our commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences where quality, comfort, and innovation meet,” said Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder and Managing Director of Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.
Adding momentum to this vision, Cygnett has entered into a strategic alliance with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, which will introduce La Quinta by Wyndham and Registry Collection Hotels to India. The partnership is expected to deliver more than 60 new hotels across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal over the next decade.
Through Evolution 2025, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts aims to position itself at the forefront of the hospitality industry’s transformation, merging vision, agility, and responsibility to craft experiences that truly matter.

India’s food processing and ingredients sector is on an impressive growth path, projected to double by 2030 with an 8.8% CAGR. At the same time, the country’s food-tech segment is expanding at 14% CAGR, surpassing global benchmarks. Alongside this, the food processing equipment market is expected to reach USD 1.5 billion by 2033, while packaging machinery is set to cross USD 6.6 billion by 2030.
The growth story took center stage at the inaugural edition of Anuga FoodTec India and Anuga Select India 2025, held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. The event witnessed the presence of international dignitaries, including H.E. Ahmad Al Ahmari (Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia), H.E. Zozo Binti (D.R. Congo), H.E. Labane Gideon (Consul General of South Africa), H.E. Donnawit Poolsawat (Consul General of Thailand), Bastian Mingers (VP, Food Portfolio, Koelnmesse GmbH), and Milind Dixit (MD – India & SAARC, Koelnmesse Pvt Ltd).
Highlighting India’s strengths, Mr. Seetharaman Raghupathi, Executive Director, National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) said, “India’s food and beverage sector is growing rapidly, backed by 180 million hectares of arable land, food processing valued at ₹75 trillion, and food expenditure making up over 40% of consumer spend. Dairy contributes 25% of this sector, with India producing one-fourth of the world’s milk, worth ₹12 trillion. With 17 million farmers across 235,000 villages, 35% of whom are women, dairy cooperatives return 75% of the consumer rupee, channelling ₹2.1 billion daily into the rural economy. Initiatives like White Revolution 2.0, which aims to establish 75,000 new cooperatives by 2028–29, will further boost this growth”.
The twin expos are hosting over 1,100 exhibitors across 55,000 sqm, with participation from 65 countries, and are expected to attract 60,000 visitors across three days. Covering the entire food and beverage value chain, the events serve as a platform for cutting-edge innovations, global collaborations, and knowledge exchange.
