Healthy breakfasts are moving beyond simple salads and basic meals, with cafés across Mumbai creating menus that combine nutrition with comfort and flavour. Whether it is a quick morning bite before work or a relaxed brunch outing, several food destinations are now offering breakfast options that are both wholesome and satisfying.
Leading the list is Pantry, known for serving mindful meals without compromising on indulgence. Its breakfast menu includes the Four Cheese Omelet, bringing together mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan and artisanal gouda for a rich start to the day. For those looking for a protein-rich option, the Protein Packed Quinoa Egg Scrambled combines eggs, quinoa, cheddar and spinach into a filling breakfast plate. Another standout is the Marine Lines Wrap, filled with spicy cottage cheese, BBQ mix, peppers and lettuce wrapped in multigrain bread.
Flax Healthy Living continues to focus on lighter and nourishing breakfast choices. The Granola Power Bowl combines Greek yoghurt, fresh fruits and chia seeds for a balanced meal, while the Avocado and Garlic Butter Rye Toast pairs creamy avocado with roasted garlic butter and seeds on sourdough toast. Its smoothie bowls and parfait options, including Dragon Fruit Parfait, Blueberry Honey Parfait and Green Protein Smoothie, offer refreshing choices packed with nutrients.
Adding a creative touch to breakfast is Juliette Café & Bar, where classic comfort food meets global flavours. The café’s smoothie bowl collection, featuring options like The Beetfruit, Day Dreamer and The Green Galaxy, includes a mix of fruits, nuts, seeds and superfoods.
Those looking for sweet breakfast options can choose Japanese Fluffy Pancakes and French Toast, while savoury selections include Healthy Bowls, Quinoa Upma and Eggs Benedict Crobun. The Benne Dosas also bring a familiar South Indian touch to the menu.
Across the city, cafés and cloud kitchens are increasingly focusing on menus that balance indulgence with healthier ingredients. From protein-rich scrambles to energising smoothie bowls and wraps, breakfast options are becoming more thoughtful and diverse.
With changing eating habits and growing interest in wellness-led dining, these breakfast destinations show that healthy eating no longer means giving up flavour or comfort.
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Tree of Life resort in Wayanad, Kerala, marking the brand’s debut in the state. The brownfield project reflects the company’s growing focus on expanding its presence in emerging leisure destinations across India.
As travel choices continue to shift towards experience-driven and nature-focused stays, Wayanad has steadily gained popularity among travellers looking for scenic and immersive getaways. Through this new signing, IHCL aims to strengthen its presence in destinations that continue to see rising leisure demand.
Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, "As travel preferences continue to evolve towards more immersive, nature-led stays, Wayanad is emerging as a key destination on India’s leisure map."
"Tree of Life, anchored in authenticity and a deep sense of place, brings its distinctive, experience-led approach to this setting. This signing marks the brand’s debut in Kerala and reflects its focus on expanding in high-potential leisure markets. We are pleased to partner with Mr. Saeed Edavankandy for this project."
Spread across more than four acres, the upcoming 55-key Tree of Life Wayanad overlooks the scenic Banasura Lake and offers expansive views of the surrounding landscape. The resort will feature an all-day dining restaurant and bar along with wellness and recreational facilities including a swimming pool and spa.
Sharing his views on the partnership, Saeed Edavankandy, Chairman, Geeone Exports Pvt. Ltd. and Managing Director, Geeone International LLC, said, "We are delighted to partner with IHCL to bring the Tree of Life brand to Wayanad. We are confident the resort will enhance Wayanad’s positioning as a preferred getaway."
Located in the Western Ghats, Wayanad is known for its lush landscapes and rich biodiversity. The destination attracts travellers with popular attractions such as Banasura Dam, Pookode Lake and the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary.
With the addition of this signing, IHCL’s portfolio in Kerala will grow to 23 hotels, including five properties currently under development.
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is expanding its long-haul network with the launch of a new service to Bengaluru during its 2026/27 winter schedule. Marking a first for the airline, Bengaluru will become SWISS’s debut destination in Southern India and its third destination in the country after Delhi and Mumbai.
The new route will operate five times a week between Zurich and Bengaluru, strengthening travel connectivity between India and Switzerland. The 2026/27 winter schedule will run from 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027.
Bengaluru, often recognised as India’s Silicon Valley, has grown into one of Asia’s leading technology and innovation hubs. The city is home to several global technology companies and has become a key destination for business travel as well as a gateway to Southern India.
Speaking on the expansion, Jens Fehlinger, CEO of SWISS, said, "We are delighted that, with Bengaluru, we will soon be providing our customers with another attractive and multi-faceted long-haul destination."
"India’s Silicon Valley has a lot to offer both leisure and business travelers, and is also a perfect gateway for exploring Southern India. Our new Bengaluru service is particularly aimed at meeting the growing demand among the business community for direct flights to this major technology hub."
Under the schedule, the eastbound LX 140 service will depart Zurich daily except on Mondays and Wednesdays at 13:20 and arrive in Bengaluru at 02:55 the next day. The return LX 141 flight from Bengaluru will operate daily except on Tuesdays and Thursdays, departing at 04:50 and reaching Zurich at 10:50 on the same day.
Alongside its India expansion, SWISS is also increasing the reach of its new Airbus A350 fleet. Following routes to Boston and Seoul, the airline plans to introduce Airbus A350 operations on the Zurich–Johannesburg route during the winter schedule and on Zurich–Shanghai flights from September.
Passengers on these routes will also experience the airline’s new "SWISS Senses" cabin concept, designed to offer upgraded comfort and a more refined travel experience across all seating classes.
The airline expects its Airbus A350 fleet to grow to five aircraft by the end of the year, allowing more long-haul travellers to access the new onboard experience.
SWISS has also announced network changes in Geneva, where Berlin, Hamburg and Pristina services will not continue during the upcoming winter schedule due to ongoing global aircraft and engine parts availability challenges affecting its Airbus A220 fleet.
Overall, SWISS plans to serve 88 destinations worldwide from Zurich and Geneva during the 2026/27 winter season, including 60 European and 24 intercontinental destinations from Zurich.
