Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan has announced the appointment of Amol More as its new General Manager. With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, More brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. His career journey includes various leadership positions across Marriott Hotels in India and Indonesia, making him a seasoned professional in hotel management.

Amol More’s career began as a Management Trainee with Accor Hotels, and in 2003, he joined the Marriott family as a Sous Chef at the Renaissance Convention Center in Powai, Mumbai. Over the years, he held key roles, including Executive Sous Chef and Director of Events Management & Banquet Operations at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, Director of Food & Beverage at JW Marriott Jakarta, and Director of Operations at The Westin Kolkata.

One of More’s significant achievements was at Courtyard by Marriott Nashik, where his leadership helped the hotel achieve strong financial performance and service excellence. This success earned him the prestigious 2021 Marriott Asia Pacific General Manager Award for Food and Beverage Leadership & Innovation. His most recent position was as General Manager at JW Marriott Surabaya, where he continued to lead with distinction and nurture team growth.

As General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan, Amol More will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s operations. His hands-on leadership style and strategic vision are expected to elevate service standards and improve menu offerings, providing guests with memorable experiences.

Linu K, the new Assistant Executive Housekeeper, brings over 13 years of extensive experience in hospitality. His background includes roles with prominent brands such as Evolve Back Resorts, Four Points by Sheraton, and Grand Hyatt Mumbai. At Courtyard by Marriott Shillong, Linu will oversee the housekeeping department, focusing on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, attention to detail, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Shafique Ahmed steps in as Executive Sous Chef with a wealth of experience spanning 14 years. Having worked with renowned global brands such as Accor, Hyatt, Hilton, and Marriott, Ahmed’s culinary expertise will drive innovation in the hotel’s dining operations. He will manage the award-winning restaurants, banquet kitchens, and in-room dining services, ensuring that Courtyard by Marriott Shillong continues to deliver unforgettable gastronomic experiences.

Completing the trio of appointments is Ningombam Khelbas Meetei, the hotel’s new Assistant Training Manager. With 12 years of diverse experience in the hospitality industry, including roles as Duty Manager and Hospitality Trainer, Khelbas will be instrumental in shaping the growth and development of the hotel’s staff. JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu has announced the appointment of Chef Asif Qureshi as the new Indian Master Chef at Saffron, the hotel’s well-known Indian specialty restaurant. Chef Asif, a culinary professional with over two decades of experience, is expected to bring fresh creativity and continue the restaurant’s mission of showcasing diverse and authentic Indian flavors.

Chef Asif comes from a prestigious culinary background as a member of the Qureshi family, renowned for their contribution to Indian cuisine. He has trained under notable chefs, including Grand Master Chef Imtiyaz Qureshi and Senior Master Chef Mohd. Sharif at ITC Maratha’s Dum Pukht. His experience spans working in prominent national and international hotels such as the Grandeur Hotel Dubai, The St. Regis Mumbai, and JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar.

In his new role at Saffron, Chef Asif will bring his signature expertise to the menu, with standout dishes such as Kumbh Ki Gilawat, Doodhia Paneer Tikka, and Lagan Ki Boti, all crafted using specialized techniques and a deep knowledge of Indian ingredients. He is also known for his artisanal Indian breads, including Lucknowi Kulcha, Taftan, and Quinoa Paratha, which perfectly complement his kebabs and other main courses. His culinary range also extends to traditional Indian sweets, adding another layer of richness to the dining experience.
