The Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH), United Kingdom, has announced the appointment of Chef Vivek Saggar as its official Brand Ambassador for India. This significant collaboration is set to amplify CTH's footprint in South Asia by promoting internationally recognized qualifications in culinary arts, hospitality, and tourism across the country.
Chef Vivek Saggar is a name well-respected in India's food and beverage industry, with over 30 years of experience as a culinary expert, hospitality consultant, and educationist. Known for his passion for culinary innovation and excellence in training and mentoring talent, his appointment is seen as a strategic move that aligns with CTH’s mission of fostering global career opportunities.
Expressing excitement over the appointment, Mr. Asad Warraich, South Asia Head of CTH, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Chef Vivek Saggar as our Brand Ambassador in India. His dedication to nurturing future professionals and promoting global best practices in hospitality resonates with CTH’s goals.”
In his new role, Chef Saggar will focus on promoting CTH’s UK-recognized qualifications, mentoring institutions and aspiring chefs, supporting curriculum development and faculty training, and representing CTH at key forums and academic platforms, both nationally and internationally.
“It is an honour to represent CTH in India, a brand globally respected for its academic rigour and relevance to the modern hospitality industry,” shared Chef Saggar. “I look forward to collaborating with institutions and industry leaders to elevate professional training and create global opportunities for Indian students.”

With more than 30 years of global hospitality experience across leading international brands, Kumar brings a strong record in leadership, operations, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. A graduate of the renowned WGSHA, he began his career as a management trainee before rising to senior leadership roles with ITC Hotels, Marriott International, and Conrad Hotels.
Over the years, Kumar has managed some of Asia’s most iconic hotels, including JW Marriott Medan, The Westin Pune, Sheraton Colombo, Sheraton Grand Bangalore, Sheraton Grand Jakarta, and ITC Ratnadipa Colombo. Known for inspiring high-performing teams and demonstrating strong strategic and financial skills, he has consistently driven market leadership, particularly in food and beverage operations.
