Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, one of India’s fastest-growing hospitality chains, has officially launched its newest property—Cygnett Inn Dibrugarh—marking the group’s third hotel in Assam and further deepening its commitment to Northeast India. Ideally located just 15 minutes from the Dibrugarh railway station and 25 minutes from the airport, the hotel promises guests a seamless experience of comfort, affordability, and convenience.
Cygnett Inn Dibrugarh offers 50 tastefully designed rooms spread across three categories, each featuring stylish interiors and modern amenities to ensure a relaxing and memorable stay. Staying true to the brand's “affordable luxury” proposition, the property blends contemporary design with signature Cygnett hospitality, all at budget-friendly rates.
Guests can indulge in a vibrant culinary experience at C Pavilion, the hotel's in-house restaurant that accommodates up to 70 guests and serves a mix of local and international cuisine. For those looking to unwind, Metro Bar provides a cozy atmosphere with space for 38 guests and a curated beverage selection.
Corporate and event travelers are also well-catered to. The property features a fully equipped meeting room called Discussion, perfect for small group discussions of up to 50 people. The larger Summit banquet hall can host up to 250 guests, making it ideal for business conferences, seminars, weddings, and product launches.
“Cygnett Inn Dibrugarh is the ideal venue, be it for corporate meetings or social events like weddings. Northeast expansion is integral to our strategy to establish Cygnett Hotels & Resorts as a 100-plus strong hotel group in the coming years,” said Mr. Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.
Cygnett was one of the earliest branded hotel chains to enter the Northeast, and with this launch, the group moves closer to its goal of establishing a 2000-key presence in the region by 2029. Currently, Cygnett operates five hotels in the Northeast, with nine more in various stages of development.
“Northeast India has become an important part of our expansion strategy due to its rising tourism appeal, improving connectivity and growing demand for quality accommodations in the region. In a significant parallel development, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has announced a strategic alliance with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to bring La Quinta® by Wyndham and Registry Collection Hotels® to India. The First Group Hospitality has taken another major step in its growth journey, announcing a series of hotel management signings during the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) World in Dubai. The deals highlight the company’s expanding reach both within the Middle East and internationally, reinforcing its position as one of the fastest-growing hotel management firms in the region.
At the summit, The First Group unveiled the rebranding of three of its flagship Dubai properties under Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio and Autograph Collection. The newly branded hotels, The First Collection Marina, Dubai, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel; The First Collection Waterfront, Dubai, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel; and Hotel Local Dubai, Jumeirah Village Triangle, Autograph Collection, reflect a strategic alignment with Marriott’s global presence and loyalty network.
Spread across three vibrant neighbourhoods, Dubai Marina, Business Bay, and Jumeirah Village Triangle, these properties are designed to offer lifestyle-driven experiences that blend local flair with world-class hospitality standards.
Adding to the excitement, The First Group announced its partnership with BB Holding to launch Radisson RED Marjan Island, the UAE’s first franchised Radisson RED property. Scheduled to open in 2027, this 261-key hotel will be located on Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island, one of the emirate’s most sought-after destinations known for its mix of relaxation and adventure.
The company also revealed its first European project, Gennadi Seaside Resort in Rhodes, Greece, marking The First Group Hospitality’s debut in the European market.
