The exclusive luxury retreat, developed by PT Komodo Property Management, is set to bring Dusit’s signature Thai-inspired hospitality to one of Indonesia’s most breathtaking destinations.

A New Luxury Haven in Labuan Bajo

Perched on a private hillside with panoramic sea views, Kaliwatu Residences – Dusit Collection offers a serene and sophisticated escape just 10 minutes from Komodo International Airport and the vibrant town of Badjo—the gateway to Komodo National Park. Known for its legendary Komodo dragons, world-class diving spots, and stunning landscapes, Labuan Bajo is emerging as one of Indonesia’s top luxury travel destinations.

The phased development will feature:

  • 63 private villas with plunge pools
  • 194 contemporary apartments
  • clubhouse with a restaurant, bars, shops, a gym, a spa, and a rooftop swimming pool

Designed with European-inspired architecture, each villa is strategically positioned to blend with the natural surroundings, creating an immersive and exclusive guest experience.

Elevating Indonesia’s Luxury Hospitality Scene

Kaliwatu Residences will join Dusit Collection, the brand’s portfolio of exceptional hotels and residences in iconic locations. This marks Dusit’s first Dusit Collection property in Indonesia, complementing its Elite Havens brand, which already operates luxury villa rentals in Bali and Lombok.

Recognizing Labuan Bajo’s rapid growth, Alessandro Mugavero, CEO of PT Komodo Property Management, shared:

“As Labuan Bajo cements its position as a premier global destination, this project is perfectly timed to set new standards in sustainable luxury hospitality. With Dusit’s expertise, we are confident this collaboration will redefine the region’s hospitality landscape.”

Labuan Bajo: A Rising Star in Indonesian Tourism

Labuan Bajo has been designated as one of Indonesia’s top five super-priority tourism destinations, with a target of 1.5 million visitors annually. Recent upgrades to Komodo International Airport and new direct flights from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore (March 2024), and Perth (coming soon) are further strengthening its appeal as a premier destination for luxury travelers.

Highlighting Dusit’s expansion strategy, Gilles Cretallaz, Chief Operating Officer of Dusit International, stated:

“Labuan Bajo is an extraordinary destination with immense potential. We are delighted to introduce our signature gracious hospitality to this stunning location. This project embodies everything Dusit stands for—refined luxury, cultural richness, and a commitment to creating value for the wider community.”

Dusit’s Growing Global Portfolio

With this latest addition, Dusit now operates 296 properties across 18 countries, including:

  • 57 hotels under Dusit Hotels and Resorts
  • 239 luxury villas under Elite Havens

Kaliwatu Residences joins two other Dusit Collection properties currently in development:

  • Layan Verde in Phuket (opening 2027)
  • Plaza De Zamboanga – Dusit Collection, Philippines (opening later this year)

As Dusit continues to expand, Kaliwatu Residences – Dusit Collection stands as a testament to its commitment to delivering luxury, sustainability, and world-class hospitality in emerging global destinations.
