ELIVAAS, the luxury vacation rental brand, has announced the opening of Sirmour Baag, a 16-cottage eco-retreat set amidst the tranquil hills of Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh. Spread across one acre, the new property blends sustainable hospitality with immersive nature-based experiences, offering a haven for conscious travellers.

Each of the 16 standalone cottages features wooden interiors, private decks, jacuzzis, skylights, and panoramic views of pine-covered hills. Built with eco-conscious design in mind, the cottages offer both heating and air conditioning, allowing guests to enjoy the retreat year-round.

The retreat is also pet-friendly, with open green spaces that welcome animal companions. Guests can enjoy a variety of experiences including indoor and outdoor games, a clubhouse accommodating up to 60 guests, picnic areas, and nature trails that connect visitors with the local environment.

Dining at Sirmour Baag is focused on traditional Himachali cuisine, served in an open-air setting, adding to the retreat’s commitment to local culture and sustainable living. A chef-on-call, concierge service, and round-the-clock caretaker support ensure a personalised and comfortable stay.

“Sirmour Baag is a reflection of our vision to offer a new kind of luxury travel that combines comfort with authenticity,” said Ritwik Khare, Founder and CEO of ELIVAAS. “We believe that today’s travellers seek more than just a place to stay—they want an immersive experience that connects them to nature, local culture, and sustainable practices.”

The property avoids single-use plastics and instead provides biodegradable amenities such as jute slippers, wooden combs, and refillable toiletries, reinforcing ELIVAAS’ focus on low-impact travel.

With the launch of Sirmour Baag, ELIVAAS continues to expand its footprint in offbeat destinations, promoting community engagement and responsible tourism as core values of its brand.

Radisson Hotel Group is further bolstering its presence in India’s thriving tier-2 and tier-3 markets with the signing of four new Park Inn & Suites by Radisson properties. Partnering with NILE Hospitality, these new hotels will come up in Siliguri, Rajkot, Bhuj, and Darbhanga—targeting cities that are fast emerging as important business, cultural, and spiritual hubs.

Each destination offers unique strategic value. In Rajkot, the upcoming hotel will be located in the heart of the city’s bustling business district, with close links to major industrial zones like Jamnagar and Morbi. Darbhanga, Bihar’s evolving commercial centre, is seeing rising demand from both corporate and religious tourism, helped by strong transport connectivity. Meanwhile, Bhuj in Gujarat stands out for its mix of cultural attractions and its proximity to key economic corridors such as Mundra and Bharuch. Siliguri, serving as a gateway to India’s Northeast, continues to attract steady tourism and trade, making it an ideal market for reliable midscale hospitality.

All four hotels will be developed under Radisson’s modern midscale brand, Park Inn & Suites by Radisson, offering contemporary rooms, business amenities, all-day dining, and facilities aimed at delivering consistent value-driven experiences.

Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and COO, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, remarked that these signings reinforce the Group’s commitment to bringing quality hospitality to India’s rapidly developing cities. Davashish Srivastava, Senior Director, Development South Asia, pointed out how the move aligns perfectly with shifting demand patterns, while Vikram Singh Chauhan, CEO of NILE Hospitality, highlighted the long-term strategic value this partnership brings to India’s evolving hotel sector.

This expansion underlines Radisson Hotel Group’s broader strategy to grow its footprint across India’s high-potential secondary and tertiary markets, catering to the increasing need for branded accommodations that blend comfort with dependable service.

From Kerala’s vibrant heritage to international acclaim, Manavatty—hailed as the world’s first commercially produced Indian arrack with 0% carbs, sugar, or fat—is making waves in the global spirits industry. Created by UK Malayali entrepreneur John Xavier, originally from Kochi, this distinctive spirit has clinched two major honours: a Bronze Medal at the London Spirits Competition 2025 and the Spirit Bronze 2025 at the IWSC (International Wine and Spirit Competition) Annual Awards.

Manavatty, produced by London Baron Ltd., stands apart for its remarkable purity. It contains no preservatives or added colours and boasts a certified zero carb, fat, and sugar profile, all while delivering a smooth 44% alcohol content. Staying true to centuries-old fermentation and distillation techniques, the spirit’s quality has been rigorously verified by Campden BRI, London—a global authority in food and drink science.

Both the London Spirits Competition and the IWSC are respected for their rigorous evaluations that go beyond taste, assessing quality, value, packaging, and marketability. Manavatty’s wins underline its all-round excellence and strong appeal to today’s discerning consumers.

The name “Manavatty” is a clever fusion of “Mana,” reflecting nature’s inherent power, and “Vatty,” symbolising traditional fermentation and distillation. This mirrors the brand’s mission to offer a contemporary take on Kerala’s rich spirit-making legacy.

“Our commitment to preserving the essence of tradition has led to this dual win,” shared John Xavier, Director of London Baron Ltd. “We’re focused on creating spirits that bar managers and mixologists truly want to use, and more importantly, that people love to drink.”

Manavatty is now available in 250 stores across the UK, at Prosi Supermarkets and restaurants in Vienna, throughout all Gray Mackenzie & Partners stores in the Gulf, at the CIAL Cochin Duty Free Shop, and is set to expand into more markets. Enthusiasts can also explore and order online at manavatty.com.

A luxurious evolution has arrived at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa with the launch of its newly reimagined Beach Villas with Pool. These elegant accommodations replace the resort’s former Beach Bungalows, bringing guests a brighter, more spacious, and stylish retreat just steps from the shoreline.

The new villas double the outdoor space to 285 sq. m. (3,068 sq. ft.), feature redesigned interiors spanning 70 sq. m. (753.5 sq. ft.), and are crafted to perfectly blend indoor comfort with the beauty of the Maldives. Ideal for couples, honeymooners, and small families, each Beach Villa comfortably accommodates three adults or two adults and two children under 12.

Commenting on this final phase of the resort’s regeneration project, General Manager Didier Jardin shared, “Kuda Huraa has long been a haven for those seeking an intimate Maldivian home-from-home but we recognised the limitations of our bungalows in terms of layout, light and space. Our first ever Beach Villas embody the spirit of the island, where comfort, care, and the magic of the Maldives come together in a seamless flow.”

What’s New:

  • Light & airy design:

Deep wood tones have given way to sun-inspired palettes of teal, turquoise, and tangerine, evoking a fresh island vibe.

  • Smarter layout: A breezy porch leads into an ensuite bedroom with ocean-framed daybed, study, dining space, and a reconfigured walk-in closet seamlessly linked to the bathroom.

  • Upgraded outdoor living: The plunge pool has transformed into a generous 36 sq. m. (388 sq. ft.) pool oriented towards stunning ocean views. A chic pergola with a round custom swing sets the scene for relaxed lounging or eye-catching Instagram moments.

  • Elegant touches: High-end designer pieces like the B&B Italia armchair and organic architectural curves ensure the villas harmonise beautifully with their surroundings.

Guests can also enjoy thoughtful inclusions like daily fresh fruit, Kuda Spring water, coffee and tea, twice-daily housekeeping with evening turndown, and beach essentials for children.

For a seamless start to paradise each day, the resort’s Bed & Breakfast package offers a lavish buffet breakfast at Café Huraa, included for two guests per bedroom (or more in family units), available for stays until December 20, 2026.
