Epitome has reopened its doors in Mumbai with a refreshed identity and a completely reimagined experience. The well-known vegetarian fine-dine lounge from Lower Parel now welcomes guests with a new look, vibrant energy, and an elevated approach to food, drinks, and ambience. The space brings together dramatic interiors, lively music, and an updated menu to create a setting where every visit feels special.
The relaunch marks the start of a new chapter for Epitome. The restaurant now blends innovation with comfort, offering global vegetarian and vegan cuisines in a setting designed to feel both stylish and warm. The mood inside is brought alive through expressive lighting, artistic design elements, and a layout that encourages conversation and curiosity. Every corner reflects a luxurious yet modern feel that stands out in Mumbai’s dining scene.
The culinary direction is led by Chef Akshay Kale, Development Chef at Acme Hospitality. His menu highlights global vegetarian flavours with a balance of classic techniques and contemporary ideas. There are influences from Asian, Latin American, Mediterranean, and Indian cuisines, all woven together through thoughtful combinations and seasonal produce. Guest favourites include the Cream Cheese Avo Tartare on Kataifi Nest, the Truffle Mushroom Baklava with Parmesan Emulsion, and the Tokyo Caesar with Tenuki and Crispy Nori. Dishes like the Miso Garlic Linguini with house-made chilli oil add depth, while the Dubai Bling Bling dessert brings a sense of theatre with pistachio cream, kunafa, chocolate, and gold leaf.
The bar experience has also been redesigned under Mixologist Mahesh Panigrahi. His “Twelve Tales” menu brings together ingredients from India, the West, and Asia, resulting in cocktails that celebrate diverse cultures and flavours. Guests can explore drinks such as the Epitome Matcha Tea with Toki whisky, yuzu, and matcha; the Land of Coconut with Havana Club and coconut liqueur; and The Alphonso with clarified mango cordial and grapefruit bitters. Creations like Assam Chai and Gala add familiar comfort with a refined twist, making the cocktail program an important part of the overall experience.
Epitome’s interiors play a key role in the relaunch. The design uses shades, textures, light, and form to create a moody, immersive environment that evolves through the day and into the night. With deep colours and visually striking elements, the space encourages guests to unwind and enjoy a memorable dining journey. The restaurant balances luxury with a sense of warmth, ensuring a comfortable and engaging atmosphere.
Leading this transformation is Mr. Jigar Sanghvi, whose vision focuses on creating experiences that feel alive and memorable. He shares that the relaunch is about bringing new energy to the brand, where the food, cocktails, and overall ambience come together seamlessly.
With this refreshed identity, Epitome steps forward as a standout destination for dining and nightlife in Mumbai. It brings together global vegetarian cuisine, creative mixology, and modern design to offer a setting where guests can enjoy something new each time. Whether visiting for a meal, a drink, or an evening out, the experience stays engaging and inviting.

Zega at Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel has unveiled the Mizuwari Series, a new collection of seven signature cocktails inspired by the Japanese tradition of Mizuwari, meaning “cut with water,” and the seven virtues of the Samurai.
Rooted in the principles of balance, restraint and refinement, the new beverage concept combines bold flavours, subtle dilution and considered craftsmanship. Each cocktail is designed around a distinct virtue, translating elements of Japanese philosophy into a contemporary drinking experience.
The collection features Makoto, Chu, Ikigai, Rei, Jin, Yu and Meiyo, with each creation offering its own flavour profile and personality.
The journey begins with Makoto – Honesty & Sincerity, combining vodka, Aperol, yuzu lime and fizz. Chu – Duty & Loyalty brings together bourbon whisky, lime, sesame and Angostura bitters in a characterful highball.
Ikigai – The Secret to a Long & Happy Life combines gin, cherry cordial, hibiscus and sparkling elements, while Rei – Beauty in Imperfection takes a more unexpected approach with vodka, pickled ginger, kaffir lime, cucumber and watermelon.
The collection continues with Jin – Compassion, a blush-pink highball featuring gin, passion, strawberry sweet vermouth, citrus and fizz. Yu – Heroic Courage combines gin, cherry wine, Campari, lime and fizz, while Meiyo – Honour brings together white rum, pineapple, Campari and lime for a more layered profile.
Together, the seven cocktails create a beverage experience that goes beyond individual flavour combinations, inviting guests to explore the stories and virtues represented by each creation.
Through the Mizuwari Series, Zega continues to explore contemporary Japanese-inspired beverage experiences, bringing together traditional philosophy, modern mixology and thoughtful presentation. From refreshing and delicate profiles to richer and more complex combinations, the collection encourages guests to pause, discover and savour each cocktail.
