Eris Lifesciences Limited has announced the appointment of Akhil Awasthi as an Additional Director (Non-Executive, Independent) on its Board of Directors, effective September 26, 2026.

The appointment, approved by the Board on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, is for a term of five years and remains subject to the approval of the company's members.

Awasthi brings more than three decades of experience across private equity, investment management, healthcare and lifesciences, business transformation, strategic value creation and corporate governance.

Awasthi is an investment professional with extensive experience in private equity and investment management, along with expertise in healthcare and lifesciences. He has held senior positions including Founding Managing Partner and Investment Committee Member of Tata Capital Growth Fund and Partner at Baring Private Equity Partners (India) Ltd.

His professional experience includes investments, strategic value creation and board-level governance. At Eris Lifesciences, his appointment is expected to add further expertise to the Board across healthcare and lifesciences, investments, business transformation and corporate governance.

The appointment comes as Eris continues to expand its presence across multiple therapeutic areas and strengthen its business through investments across geographies, technologies and healthcare segments.
