Eros Hotel, New Delhi, is hosting a Clay Pot Specials festival from October 18th to 31st, 2024 at its renowned Chinese restaurant, Empress of China. This culinary event offers guests an authentic taste of Cantonese cuisine, focusing on traditional clay pot dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and bold flavors.
The Clay Pot Specials aim to capture the essence of southern China’s cooking style, using high-quality seafood, meats, tofu, and vegetables. The chefs have curated a flavorful menu featuring iconic sauces like soy, oyster, and hoisin, complemented by aromatic herbs, garlic, and ginger.
Guests can enjoy dishes such as the Hong Kong Style Vegan Clay Pot, a blend of mushrooms and tofu, and the Cantonese Eggplant Casserole, made with miso-marinated cabbage. Another highlight is the Chanko Nabe, a hearty hot pot with chicken dumplings, vegetables, and jasmine rice—traditionally enjoyed by sumo wrestlers.

Velvet Kofta Gnocchi pairs pillowy textures with a delicate cashew cream sauce, creating a comforting yet indulgent dish. Pasta La Romance reinvents a classic favourite with butter chicken–filled pasta parcels served in a velvety tomato butter base. Seafood lovers can choose Hooked on You, a char-grilled fish accompanied by fragrant Thai red curry and jasmine rice, ideal for a cosy and relaxed dinner.
Desserts strike a balance between light and indulgent. Lavender Kisses, a lavender-infused panna cotta paired with poached pear, offers a refined floral finish, while Ruby Romance Mousse impresses with its naturally pink ruby chocolate and silky texture.
Complementing the menu is a special Valentine’s cocktail selection crafted in collaboration with Maize and Malt. Romantic pours such as In Between Us, a floral and smoky gin cocktail, and Heartstrings, a soft bittersweet blend of vodka and strawberry, are designed to enhance the dining experience and set the mood for an intimate evening.
