Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has launched its first scheduled service to North Carolina, marking a new addition to its North American network. The inaugural flight arrived at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) on 20 March and was operated using the airline’s Airbus A350-1000.

With this new route, Etihad connects Charlotte and the wider North Carolina region to its global network via Abu Dhabi. The service is expected to support both passenger travel and cargo movement, while also offering easier access to key destinations across India and Asia.

The Airbus A350-1000, used for this route, is known for its advanced design and fuel efficiency. It features next-generation engines and improved aerodynamics, making it one of the most modern widebody aircraft currently in operation.

Onboard, Etihad offers a comfortable experience across cabins. In Business class, passengers can enjoy fully flat beds, direct aisle access, added privacy, and a premium dining experience. The Economy cabin, with 327 seats, provides good legroom along with personal entertainment systems that support Bluetooth headset pairing. Guests also have access to complimentary Wi-Fi chat services during the flight.

The launch of this service reflects Etihad’s continued effort to expand its network and strengthen connections between the United States and key global destinations, while offering a modern and comfortable travel experience.
