In a unique collaborative effort, Lallooji & Sons and Gujarat Tourism have launched an exciting new tourism venture at the India-Pakistan Border Road in Nadabet, Gujarat. This initiative, titled 'Nadabet- Indo-Pak Border,' offers visitors a rare glimpse into the ceremonial pomp and the vibrant displays of nationalism akin to the famed beating retreat ceremony at Wagah Border in Amritsar.
At the heart of this experience is the beating retreat ceremony conducted daily at dusk. Hosted at the Parade Arena with a seating capacity of 5000, this event features meticulously choreographed drills by the Border Security Force (BSF), including high-leg manoeuvres and the ceremonial lowering of the flag at the T-Junction. This daily ritual is a vibrant showcase of precision and patriotic fervour, drawing parallels with its counterpart in Punjab.
The Ajeya Prahari Smarak stands as a poignant tribute to the valour and sacrifices of Indian soldiers. It not only honours these brave hearts but also houses an art gallery that immortalises their sacrifices through various artistic representations.
The Sarhad Gatha Museum, situated at the T-Junction, offers an immersive dive into the history of the BSF. It displays an array of weapons used in historic battles and features a VR gaming section that is particularly popular among younger visitors, adding a contemporary twist to the historical narrative.
For those with a taste for adventure, the activity zone near the border offers exciting activities such as Box Cricket, ATV rides, Sky Cycle, rock climbing, and ziplining. Additionally, the Nadeshwari Mata Temple, located close to Seema Darshan, adds a spiritual dimension to the visit, especially during the bustling annual fairs held during Ram Navami and Sharad Purnima.
Nadabet- Indo-Pak Border is equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable visit. These include a spacious parking area, an electric vehicle (EV) station, a panoramic viewing deck, and a diverse food court. This makes it not just a site of historical and patriotic significance but also a place of leisure and learning.
Visit Details
Nadabet- Indo-Pak Border is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9 AM to 7 PM, with border visits allowed until 4:30 PM. The site is closed for maintenance on Mondays, ensuring that the facilities remain pristine for visitors. Located just 239 km from Ahmedabad, this destination promises a blend of history, adventure, and patriotism, making it a must-visit for anyone travelling through Gujarat.
