International hospitality company Atmosphere Core has announced two pivotal leadership appointments. Maurice Lucien Van Den Bosch returns to the Atmosphere Core family as General Manager of RAAYA by Atmosphere, while Milan Mookerjee joins as Vice President of Human Resources. These leadership changes reflect Atmosphere Core’s ongoing commitment to enhancing guest experiences and fostering a people-centric culture across its portfolio of three brands and nine resorts.
Born in Australia, Maurice Lucien Van Den Bosch draws from the country’s renowned laid-back yet dynamic culture in his leadership style, fostering a spirit of inclusivity, adventure, and warm hospitality. He brings over 24 years of expertise in resort management, with a demonstrated ability to exceed profit targets, develop new projects cost-effectively, and lead culturally diverse teams with motivation and efficiency.
Maurice’s extensive experience includes leadership roles at some of the world’s top hospitality brands in the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and the Caribbean. A familiar face within the Atmosphere Core family, Maurice has served as General Manager at both OZEN LIFE MAADHOO and Atmosphere Kanifushi.
As the General Manager of RAAYA by Atmosphere, Maurice will leverage his deep understanding of the brand to lead the resort with a focus on anticipating, crafting, and elevating guest experiences. Veteran Human Resources leader, Milan Mookerjee, will oversee talent management and employee growth initiatives across Atmosphere Core's resorts in the Maldives. With over 15 years of industry experience, Milan is a seasoned professional known for aligning HR initiatives with business goals and fostering a human-centric culture.
Reflecting on his approach to human resources, Milan said, "Leadership is a privilege that we owe to our team. Intentionality with direction and purpose drives results, and I am committed to fostering a culture that empowers our people to grow and succeed. Before joining Atmosphere Core, Milan served as Head of Human Resources and Training at Encalm Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., where he led HR and training functions to drive business growth. He has also held several HR leadership roles at prominent companies in India, with a proven ability to develop talent and design learning programs tailored to business needs.
Ashwin Handa, Senior Vice President of Operations at Atmosphere Core, emphasised the importance of a strong leadership team. The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru, Hotel Conventions Residences has strengthened its leadership team with two key appointments, Uma Mahesh Rao as Executive Housekeeper and Siddharth Khurana as Front Office Manager. In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of sales, marketing, and brand management, working closely with the senior leadership team to design and implement growth strategies. Raje joined The Ritz-Carlton, Pune in February 2024 and has since played a vital role in leading corporate sales, cross-selling Marriott Hotels across India, and building long-term partnerships with top corporate clients. Before joining The Ritz-Carlton, Pune, he served as associate director of sales at The Westin, Pune Koregaon Park. His career also includes sales roles at Marriott Suites Pune, JW Marriott Pune, and Spice Jet Airlines, giving him a diverse background in both hospitality and aviation.

Hyatt Regency Chennai has announced the promotion of Lakshmi Nandagopal to the role of Director of Human Resources, marking a significant milestone in her two-decade-long career in people management and organisational excellence. Nandagopal joined Hyatt Regency Chennai in January 2023 as Human Resources Manager, and within a short span, she has made a remarkable impact. Known for her strategic vision and empathetic leadership, she has successfully driven initiatives in talent acquisition, workforce engagement, payroll management, and succession planning. Her proactive approach in fostering transparency, inclusivity, and professional growth has established her as a trusted leader within the organisation.
Her career reflects a strong passion for people development and aligning HR strategies with business goals. Prior to Hyatt, she held leadership positions with Radisson Blu City Centre, Holiday Inn OMR IT Expressway (IHG Group), The Ascott Limited – Somerset Greenways Chennai, and Marriott International.
