On March 26th, 2024, the Karnataka Tourism Society orchestrated the inaugural edition of Destination Showcase Events in Bengaluru, marking a pivotal moment for tourism in the region.

The event kicked off with an inauguration graced by notable figures including Mr. D Venkatesan, Regional Director of Southern India for India Tourism, and Mr. Mohd Farouk, Director of India Tourism in Bengaluru, among others. Central to this showcase were the breathtaking locales of Chikmagalur and Sakleshpur, nestled in the verdant Western Ghats of Karnataka. This exclusive B2B Tourism Showcase aimed to unveil the untapped potential of these Coffee Tourism destinations, spotlighting their rich cultural heritage and awe-inspiring landscapes.

With a focus on sustainable tourism and community engagement, the event facilitated collaboration and networking opportunities among industry professionals and stakeholders. Mr. K Syamaraju, President of Karnataka Tourism Society, expressed optimism about the showcase, emphasizing its role in uncovering the hidden treasures of Chikmagalur and Sakleshpur.

Attendees had the chance to immerse themselves in the scenic wonders of these regions, engage with leading hotels and resorts, indulge in authentic cuisine, and forge valuable connections. Featuring 24 leading properties, the event served as a key platform for promoting tourism in Chikmagalur and Sakleshpur.
